Everything was going fine till there was a crisis in his family and then silence. The girl did her best to be supportive. But nothing...She has not heard from him for 2 months. Do she move on? Does he owe her an explanation? If the crisis is over, what can she expect to happen? Or should the girl not hold her breath?

She shouldn't hold her breath. He's gone, long gone, to the island of lost men. He took the coward's way out of saying he wasn't into her enough to be with her. But now that she knows that, she can move on and find a man who actually will be into her. Case in point, a few years ago, I met a really nice guy. I'd gotten out of a big relationship a couple months before I met this guy and it was nice to be excited about dating someone else again. Well, a major hurricane hit my state and he said we'd do something after the storm was gone. I called him once to leave a message letting him know I was alive and ok, and hoped he was too, but he never called me back and he then deleted his account off myspace. I realized that it was his loss because why on earth would I want to be with a guy that's flighty like that? I've got better things to do than have some guy mess with my mind. She should find better things to do too.

I would try to talk to him and find out what the deal is..just once though. If he acts like he doesn't want to talk or have anything to do with you, then I wouldn't push the issue and would just leave him alone. His silence thus far should say it all. If he is going to run at the first sign of any trouble, then you are better off. You do have a right to be angry though. Someone just cutting you off and running is very immature and very insensitive.

This happened to a family member of mine. Turned out her man had fallen off a roof and was in a coma. He eventually got better and they resumed dating. It didn't work out.

I suppose you can demand anything you want. Personally though, I would not hold my breath. I would move on.

I fyou haven't heard from a guy in months, it's time to move on. I think more than likely he was using the family problem thing as an excuse and it's time to let him go.

why the hell would you want one?

would you seriously believe whatever he had to tell you after 2 months? i certainly wouldn't! it will only make you seem needy and desperate.

if he thought anything of you he would have given you your explanation. dont hold your breath girl, your well rid!

generally a "crisis" is a convenient way out of a relationship - I'd move along and let him wonder what happened to *you*

i agree with everyone else's answers. move on. to help with that, get the book "He's just not that into you" and even better get "its called a break up because its broken"

these helped me out a lot. good luck
