Yes, Adam named all of the animals. He was much more intelligent than any man today. His language is unknown to us today. But it is interesting, that linguistic scientists state that Indo-European languages had their root in or near modern day Iraq. That is where the plains of Shinar are and the Biblical tower of Babel where man's languages were "confused." Just a thought.

Okay Adam was a FICTIONAL character first of all. And if your wondering what the first language was first spoken by the homo sapiens, well who the hell knows some African language that we have no knowledge of. And obviously the first man did not know English so no he didn't call it a fox, and it wouldn't of been Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Latin or even Egyptian it would of been much older than that long before written language. man is what 150,000 yrs old or so? language would have changed completely by that time. If you want to ask about other more modern fictional characters we may be able to give you an answer what they would have spoke if they had existed.

The Bible does not tell us what language Adam spoke. it was most likely some early form of Hebrew (or so I am assuming since the Jews are God's chosen people as the Bible tell us. Anyone who disagrees go read your Bible). The names, fox, cat, etc. are English names so what he originally called them we don't know, but will one day soon. For those who don't believe in the Bible read John 3:3-6 and Ephesians 2:8-9

Yes Adam really named all the animals of the universe, their minds were full of wisdom and had the capaticity to use 100% of their brains, they walked and talked with God every day in the cool of the evening. They didn't have to rely on books or internets for information they just asked the One who created them and got the real answer. After the devil was given the right to interfer with their thinking, then is where the world stopped being in control by the Creator and was allowed to mess with the mind of Adam and Eve and sin was then created and that is why God sent Jesus to help us be able to hear from Him,and understand thats where all this mess started. You can find your answer in Genesis the first book of the Bible for proof. As for what language did they speak, I assume it was Hebrew since Jesus was a Jew.

Yes, Adam named the fox a fox and the cat a cat, etc. I don't know what language he spoke, probably ancient Hebrew.

In view of God’s granting perfect man dominion over the various creatures of the earth, it was most appropriate that Adam be privileged to name these creatures. (Ge 1:26; 2:19, 20) Man’s having the animals in subjection placed upon him a stewardship for which he would always be accountable to God.—Lu 12:48.
"And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; ( Genesis 2:19,20 )
The Bible does bot tell us what language Adam used, but the original language given to Adam was good. (Gen. 1:31) And later, when God miraculously bestowed new tongues on people at Babel, these were not impure languages, not bad in themselves. They were from God, whose gifts are always good, and they have served a good purpose.—Jas. 1:17.
It is possible that Adam spoke Hebrew as the old testament is also known as the Hebrew Scriptures.

No one really knows.... In fact we don't even know if the animal names that are present even relate to the animals Adam was dealing with. Especially since if you look at it from a weird angle, some of the animals don't exist anymore and humans put in other names for substitution.

Here we go again with the literal garbage.
Get it straight, people! The story of Adam and Eve is a metaphor intended to show that however He did it, GOD created humanity! THEY ARE NOT REAL! Cinderella is closer to historical fact than is Genesis 1 and 2.
It's NOT a history book. It's a theology book!

He named the animals Tom and Jerry and they've been fighting ever since. Seriously, there is no way of knowing any of these things for certain. He spoke a language that would have been totally made up. And I highly doubt it was English.

He probably did (provided he did exist), but those names were probably forgotten and then we had to come up with new ones, anyway.
So I doubt he called a fox a fox... etc., it was probably just some sort of language he made up or God gave to him.
