A: There are four traditions about Jesus the Christ of Nazareth.

1: The traditional Biblical Tradition.
Never married. Did not have children. Died on the Cross.

2: The Kashmir tradition.
There are half a dozen variations in this tradition.
* Never married / married Mary of Magdala.
* One version states that he visited India prior to preaching the Gospel message.
* No Children / One child / not mentioned.
* Was crucified but recovered / Judas was crucified in his place / Somebody else was crucified in his place.
* He went south to Egypt, then took the sea route to India / He went north and took the land route to India
* He was welcomed back as a Saint / He was instantly recognized as a Holy Man
* He attracted a large following
* He died in a cave in the Himalayas. (Kashmir and Bhutan are the most frequently mentioned places.)

3: The Glastonbury tradition.
Married Mary of Magdala. Had one child. After the crucifixion he went, with his wife to Egypt, and then to Glastonbury.

A variation of this tradition holds that they directly went to Glastonbury, with his wife, in a ship of Joseph of Aramethia.

4: The South of France tradition
* Married Mary of Magdala.
* They had a daughter --- Sara.
* After the crucifixion she goes to Egypt, then to the south of France.
In one Indian tradition, they go as a couple to Egypt, then they separate, she goes to the South of France, and he goes to India.
In one Glastonbury tradition, after she goes to the south of France, she goes to Glastonbury, to be with Joseph of Aramathia, and the rest of Jesus' relatives.

The Biblical tradition is the only one that has early documents to support it. The other traditions are purely oral, and do not appear to have been known, prior to pilgrimages being incorporated into Christian practice.

Assuming that one of the non-biblical traditions is valid, there only was one child --- a daughter at that. Any descendants would have anonymously blended into the gene pool.

B: The brothers/half brothers of Jesus

One tradition holds that Joseph was a widower, when he married Mary.
The other siblings were the children of Joseph and his first (deceased) wife.

A second tradition holds that the brothers and sisters were cousins. [This is the doctrine of the holy Roman catholic and Apostolic Church.]

A third tradition holds that the siblings were the children of Joseph and Mary. [This is the usual viewpoint of Fundamental Christianity.]

Since at least five siblings are named, and several others are referred to, he would have had several nephews and nieces. [Jewish tradition at that time more or less equated being married, but childless, with being in a state of sin.]

Those nephews and nieces would have formed a bloodline, which _might_ persist to this day. Mitigating against the persistence of the blood line, is the dispersion of Jews, plagues, and wars. The latter two are very effective at prematurely terminating blood lines. [Yes, I know about Genghis Khan, and the dispersion of his genes. I'll also point out that he was the war leader, spread his gene pool over most of Asia, and killed off most of the competing gene pool donors. By contrast, the family of Jesus was at the bottom of the social scale and confined to a small country.]

In synopsis.
A direct bloodline from Jesus: No.
A direct bloodline from his siblings: Probable.
Any such descendants would only be identifiable, if DNA from Joseph can be found. [Genghis Khan's DNA was identifiable, not because of an actual sample, but because the same DNA anomalies occur at the same place over the entire geographic area. They all point to the same common origin in time. A period that was when Genghis Khan was alive. It is theoretically possible that the genes are of somebody other than Genghis Khan. The only other candidates with the geographical range, power, nd influence would be his family, and close relatives. ]

No. If Mary had other children, Joseph would have presumably been the father. With Jesus, God was his father. Jesus actually did have a brother, named James, but they only had their mother in common, and it wasn't her lineage that made Jesus so special...

I'm sorry, I misread the question. Yes. There would be half brothers and sisters of Jesus, but no descendants, because their lineages would actually have been different...as I already mentioned above... =)

Yes. There has been a burial box with the words, "James, Son of Joseph, brother of Jesus." carved like in old Hebrew found. Jesus mentioned His half brothers also in scripture.

Jesus descendants today are added on as they become born again, through His salvation plan. Jesus said that those that are His family are those that trust & obey His Heavenly Father.

I assume you mean Mary Magdelene (there are a LOT of Marys in the Bible) in your question. The DaVinci code is based on the idea that Mary with her daughter Sara and started a line of French royalty, but this is an entire falsehood. Dan Brown mentions at the beginning of his book that the Priory of Scion has been around for hundreds of years, but in fact was formed in the 1950's by a French crook who planted fake documents, making it seem like a real historical organization. The whole premise of Christ being married to Mary and having children has no historical backing to it... the Gnostic Gospels that Brown touts so highly are largely full of holes (literally and figuratively) and weren't even written until hundreds of years after Christ's death under pseudonyms, long after the Canon (the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) had already become the core of church beliefs and widely accepted. If you want to know more of the historical truth behind the fiction Dan Brown cooked up, check out www.liquidchurch.com for their ongoing series on the DaVinci Code. You might be surprised. Mary did in fact have other children, and Jesus had brothers and sisters. In fact a brother was an apostle.
However, the fact that he had siblings does not mean that He had decendants.
Perhaps His brothers and sisters were married. It seems logical..
but Jesus of himself , no record exists of Him having a wife or offspring.therefore, there are no direct descendants of Christ.

Show me where in the Bible that it says Mary had other children. But you are right, if she would have then there would be half brothers and sisters to Jesus.

Mark chapter 3:
31There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

32And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

33And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

34And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

35For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

These are Mary, and Jesus' brothers, (half brothers really) They are the sons of Joseph and Mary. One other point, the books of James and Jude in the New Testament were written by Jesus' half-brothers. They did not believe in Him until after the crucifixion and the resurrection, though.
