Bush has said that we can't leave Iraq until WE feel that their government can run the country on their own. These people have never run a democracy, never run their own government, but our troops have to sit there and be under attack until they figure it out? This doesn't seem right, what if they CAN'T get it together? They can't even get the electricity back on!!! How can we expect these people to run a country ? And why do AMERICANS have to die while they figure it out?

It doesn't seem smart to me to leave the fate of our service men and women up to the Iraqi government, and we are.

IT's better for trained officials to be under attack and able to fight back then for American civilians to be attacked in our own country and be completely defensless. I don't want our troops to be dead or in danger, but they are protecting this country. Think about that before you try to debate. Eventually, Iraq will become stable!! They will....but only once we rid them of the people who are against a stable goverment. They need help and it's not all about helping them either. On Semptember 11, so many Americans died because a few idiots decided to hurt us. We are just paying them back the favor. You have a good point but think about reasons why we should be there too

The Iraqi Government is fully constituted and Constitutional. Great liberal Talking points however. You are a liberal and now electricity is important, oil is important. Foreigners are more likely to go after the grid than local sunnis. Bush has the order of Battle for Al Quieda 750+ captured Al Quieda 100 + sent to the Virgins
The war is being won and you would rather support Beheaders your party is divided and the party is having a problem dealing with a victory.

I think you don't understand because you are probably not from that country. If America was terrorized, would you not want another country to help us? I understand our soldiers have died and innocent people as well, but it's worth the sacrafice. We are fighting an idea. If you want to be an alqeida, we will make damn sure you think twice about joining. We are also destroying most of their rat holes "safe houses". Americans are there as a symbol. We are giving the "good" civilians strenght, confidence, and hope. If you ask me we should bomb all that !@$ country, good and bad, why risk it. Include Iran, Palestine, Serbia, etc... El Salvador, because they have terrorist too, that stupid gang called MS. Now that we're at it don't forget France, since they haven't paid us all the money they owe us. The money we lend them after Germany leveled them. Not last, but not least that tiny piece of land known as the Gaza strip. Only then will piece be restored. Thank you!!!!!!!! Oh, and please refer to our President, as our President Bush or Mr. Bush, not Bush.

Bush gave up on the Democracy thing for Iraq!!

For your information, Iraq's Constitution was that of a Republic, same as ours, until Saddam took over to do our dirty work for us against Iran. Reagan even supplied him the gas!

The Iraqi's were running their country long before we were running ours!

Cantcu - there was no such country as Iraq until the French and British "invented" it in 1931 so to say that Iraqis have been running their country longer than the states is not true.

Things are going much better than the leftist press lets on. The electricity is on, school is in session and thousands of cops and security forces have been trained. We must be involved in pacifying the middle east as long as Isreal is a client state.

I'd like to see our guys home and on the borders of the US protecting our own country from foreign invaders.

Iraq has never been stable. And this is going to be like a Vietnam....eventually we will pull out and leave it to the towel heads, and they can continue to kill each other.
