God doesn't make mistakes lol! Think about this... would you want someone doing something for you or in your name if they didn't want to be doing it??
Also, if we didn't have free will we would pretty much just be robots. Where is the beauty in that?

No, it was not a mistake to give humans freewill...it's more like an opportunity for us to create a beautiful life. If we weren't given freewill...what kind of a life would we be living? It would be more like a program we would just have to put up with no say in the matter.
therefore the expression "God willing" ....is a contradiction in terms. Many Christians today still don't see this!

As the world fight for Freedom of Speech, freedom to the press, freedom of expression and so many types of freedom.God defined and desined our lifes but He in his love, compassion and care gave us our free will to make choices.Even in Jesus Christ Agony in the Garden,Jesus had to make a choice that His Father in Heaven could not do for him.Choice to take up Persecution and Death or continue to be on earth. His Answer was"My father, if it is possible, take this of suffering from me.Yet not what i want, but what u want" matthew26verse 39.
Christ allowed God will to be done but he had a choice. Cos in the book of Luke22v43-44. After accepting God's will he was strenghten by an Angel as he Anguishly prayed.
The zeal to do the right thing is what matters as God Created us in his image and likeness he gave us the Power to make decisions either Evil or Good.

I don't even think there is a god, I'd like to believe, but all these horrible things going on in the world and the free will thing, if god knows everything, wouldn't he have known how screwed up things would be?

It sure seems like it, but the thing is, God sees the big picture, all we see is the little bits and pieces. Who knows, maybe this life is simply a trial to see if we deserve everlasting life? He didn't make any mistake, though can't say the same for us. Sometimes, I think all we do is mess things up.

We'll never understand God, or why He gave us free will. You just have to go on living life the best you can to make the world a better place.

with out loose will, human beings will be automatic flesh and blood creatures, getting away from mattress contained in the morning, having breakfast, doing inspite of our microchips were programmed to do, attending to mattress and going to sleep, to start up all throughout back next morning. would we had self understanding? i don't believe of so, self understanding is too on the point of loose will, what would you do with one with out the different? i'd particularly had loose will on the peril of those who abuse the present particularly than transforming into a caricature of a human in simple terms doing what you're instructed and in no way intending to be some more thing effective. Thank God for loose Will.

What do you mean by "freewill"? The Bible teaches we are free to act according to our nature. With our fallen nature we are only free to do that which is displeasing to God. Once God changes our hearts and we have a new nature are we free to obey God and follow him freely according to our new nature.
