I need to get the TAX ID number a company in Texas (I am located in Oregon), I have never worked for them. Is there any way to locate this without calling them directly??

this is the state comptroller site...type in the company name and it will give it to you....if you dont find it here google comtroller for any other states that company is in

When I investigate companies try
www.state.--.us for Texas use the address www.state.tx.us
replace the 2 dashes with the two letter state abreviation.
Go under corporations, each state is different, you can get a lot of info on companies and organizations. Each state is different... many companies are incorporated in Delaware because of their corporate laws. So check there too.
If you find info on the Company you want... it'll say Foreign or domestic. Foreign means it was incorporated in a different state. Domestic means this is the state in which it was incorporated..... meanwhile you can find A LOT of info.

Companies dont list their TAX ID numbers on their websites,
do you have a paycheck from them? It's listed on that or send them an email.
