No.
No... it isn't simply 'accepting Jesus'. That's part of it though because he told us what we need to do to be a part of God's Kingdom... but it isn't all. I suspect what your friend is referring to is the scripture that says 'no man comes unto the Father except by me'. He was the ultimate sacrifice so that all men might be saved. So through his sacrifice, we are in a way going through him to get to the kingdom. We are taught to pray to God in the name of Jesus. Also following his teachings and trying to follow his example is another way and all these things are how we 'go through Jesus'.

Jesus' mother was Jewish as was Muhammad's so the two have that in common and thus the foundation in Judaism . Islam does not build upon Christianity but does recognize Jesus as a prophet. The problem here is that Jesus was not a prophet. He is Emmanuel (translation: God with us) who came and fulfilled the prophesies of the prophets sent before.
I hope that helps.

There is a difference between believing in a prophet and going though one!!! In Christian's belief you must believe in Jesus as the son of God (God in disguise!) and believe that he has died for your sins...
Muslims do not need a third person to get to heaven or God. God is all you need. Prophets are messengers. Only deliver messages.

good one "fleagle66".....
all right all you christians (I am one by the way) stop misinerpreting his msg. Jesus was not about separation of groups!!!!! Jesus never said "I am the only way! you better follow me and ONLY me or you'll forever be damned!!" This is an neurotic interpretation from man. Jesus was more loving..I bet he said something like "Follow me, I am the light, I am the way...just follow me". Do you now see how this simple, clean, elegant and loving messsage could be twisted by religions?
Point no.2 Do you all agree that God, or Allah are concepts that cannont be defined only by words? Do you agree that all communication is not strictly by words alone? If so, than you have the intelligence to see clearly that the word God or Allah are something bigger than words can define...therefore God and Allah are the same loving being but have been given a name through the centuries from individual cultures.
If you're Christian....than act like it. Love as Jesus does...and stop judging!! you're contradicting the msg of Jesus and looking like a bunch of hypocrites.
by the way, my comment is not a judgment..it's a simple observation of what is so.

yes that is indeed true in Islam. because one of the 5 articles of faith is believing in all the prophets, starting from Adam all the way until Muhammad (peace be upon all of them). so yes, that includes Jesus.
If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.
than welcome to Islam.
Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.
Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.
I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.
you have nothing you lose.
I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.

the entry to heaven is only through God's grace.
the prophet muhammed has explained this by telling us that even if we spend all our lives in worship and glorification of God, we would not be able to thank Him enough for the blessings we enjoy in life. therefore, no one would have done what is sufficient to merit entry into heaven on the bais of his actions alone. however, God has extended to us our good work and rewards us for it on the basis of His generosity, multiplying it at least 10 times. So our admittance into heaven is based on His grace and generosity, not on the value of our actions, although it is our actions that determine our destiny.

mm.. islam respects jesus as a messenger from God, as well as Abraham, Adam, Moses, Mohammad, and others.
But they are all human God choose to guide people to believe only in God. God will decide that only who believes in God and made good work will go to heaven

I'm not sure what you mean by "without going through Jesus (peace be upon him)." But yes, Muslims agree that you cannot enter Heaven without BELIEVING in Jesus (peace be upon him).
