How can I get him out of my head?

I've liked this guy since like 5th grade. I know he doesn't like me and he never will. The thing is every time I try and move on....I keep coming back to him. I can't get him out of my head or my heart. Do I love him? And how do I get out of this?

You can start by writing a journal of all your thoughts about this guy.Write whenever you feel the urge.It will help you get him out of your head and as you write day to day you will be able to see just how he affects you when you go back and read what you have written.Sometimes we can never fully get someone out of our heart and thats ok as long as we can function on a daily basis.
Someone told me to get closure with a guy that was in my heart and head,only problem he was no longer living.....so I wrote about him alot.He is not in my head but will always be in my heart.

the feeling when you don't see him has greater impact than the actual encounter!=)

you have to talk to him, make friends, that would be a nice striking distance...

its a matter also of your subconcious mind;
he must have accidentaly tapped thru your inner feelings
which has been influenced by a certain childhood memory that once made you very happy at the moment of sadness...

either way, if you want to get him out of your mind for good, that would be impossible. Why? Trying so will only cause further damage to your self... but you can MINIMIZE it though... How? you have to get busy on something and at the sametime enjoy that activity, WITH A CERTAIN MALE THAT YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE and has potential to be your ideal bf...

No, your not in love. Trust me on this. You are obsessed with him. You should just keep yourself busy, except set aside a time every day to try and figure out why you like him so much. It might help.

I agree with LIlly... get someone else in your head. Really try to focus on someone who LIKES YOU... and you will see the other guy will simply go away from your thoughts.

Whats worse, is that he probably knows that you like him and everytime you begin to get close to another person, HE is the one pulling you back... Dont let him manipulate you like that. Dont even tell him about the new person, just go on with your life.

Yeah, It's kinda obvious. You are in love. Just scope out other cute guys, talk to them. Go out with a few. Going with different guys may help. Just keep yourself busy with new activities and new firends and guys. Eventually, you will.

well most people i know go through this all the time. if u know he dosen't like u it's still hard to get over. all i can say is try and find a way around it so u don't see him alot. also try and think of all the bad resons why u shouldn't like him.
