by the end of the day my hair gets pretty greasy near the roots and it grosses me out. I try using conditioner only at the end of my hair, and try not touching my hair throughout the day (especially my bangs) any other tips?

Use a rinse of white vinegar near your scalp let it sit for a minute and rinse it out. Then put regular conditioner only on the ends.
Don't worry the smell of the vinegar doesn't last.

I've got the same problem, and after years of battling with my hair, this is the best thing I've found. It still get's greasy, but not as much.
I wash my hair everyday with Pantene Clarifying Shampoo. Some other brands make a similar product, but I find Pantene is the best. Salon products are even better, but they cost a lot more and they tend to dry your hair out. Experts, and usage instructions say to use a clairifying shampoo once a week, but I use it everyday. I really scrub the shampoo into my scalp only (not the rest of my hair) for a few minutes. I let the suds run through the rest of my hair as I rinse. Then I use a really rich conditioner on my ends (last few inches) to contrast the damaging effects of the shampoo.
Blowdrying your hair makes it greasier because of the intense heat, but if you really have to blowdry it, after you've finished, blast your roots for a couple of mintes with the cold setting.
Babypowder definitely works, but only for a short period of time (a few hours), and it can get messy (too much powder). It takes some trial and error.
Good Luck :)

Try not to use alot of products in it.
and make sure you wash it really well and let the conditioner stay in your hair for about 3 minutes before rinsing.
Also, when you wash it, run the shampoo and conditioner into your roots well.
Also try aussie double acton shampoo it stops greese and prevents split ends
and don't wash it everyday, that damages it. Every 2 or 3 days is fine. (you can take ashower every day, just put your hair up and try not to get it wet.)

My hair gets greasy also. You should try using a shampoo for oily hair. White Rain and also Suave both have some that are only for a dollar. I've also read that you can apply baby powder at the root of your hair and comb it through. It'll soak up any access oils.

It gets greasy because you skin is oily. I have the same problem. There is nothing you can do but shampoo it daily. If you shampoo it in the morning, then it will stay clean most of the day. If you shampoo it at night, then it will be oily when you wake up the next morning and all day.

all the shampoo in the international gained't treatment over lively sebatious glands. Your canines would have a medical condition it quite is causing situation. which includes hypothyroid, or the nutrition your feeding. some breeds of canines are merely oily evidently. Have your vet take at seem at your puppy’s situation. there will be a particular vet shampoo which could reduce down on grease. yet in a authentic pinch "first light" dish washing cleansing soap cuts grease like no longer some thing else and is secure to apply on pets and organic world. Please ask your vet first.

Maybe you're washing it too much? Doing so strips off all the natural oils and stuff, so your body compensates by making more. I used to have that problem - it takes a while to "train" it, but try washing it every other day.

I've heard using a small amount of baby powder on your scalp helps to absorb any grease.
