I've seen at least 10 missiles in the sky this morning and it's still going on. Lots of explosions.
Any ideas? What kind of missiles would they be testing?

Air Force units stationed at Edwards:
412 Test Wing
95th Air Base Wing

Unmanned vehicles are high on the testing radar these days (Global Hawk and Predator). They were going to test the Airborne Laser 747 platform this year in addition to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.

I would be surprised if missiles were on base targeted at enemy countries. Most likely they're being used in the systems mentioned above for dummy enemy missiles that are being shot down.

Perhaps for testing/checks of the few ICBM interceptor units that are along the West Coast in case something strange happens with the N. Korea missile launch?

Those are Firefly-3 missiles. Believe it or not, there's an alien on the loose. Area 51 employees are scared shirtless.

Are they really big or small? They may be testing patriots in case N. Korea were to launch a missle. Considering it is an air Force Base...Probably a new type of SAM.

They have recently agreed to buy & develop several new missles
in the last 3 months so it could be any of them. Enjoy the fireworks early.
