Why do athiest catagorize all christians?

Fat, white, republican-conservative christian....
Ive been a christian for over 15 years, and I have met hundreds of christians of all races, sizes and political denominations. I have never heard a christian ever go up to somone and say " Go to hell sinner"

Im sure its happened before, and believe me those people are not "token christians"
Just because everyone else says thats what they say, doesnt mean its true.

Maybe you should get an opinion of your own.

The reason that Christians hate atheists is because we invalidate their theology.

If their god was truly all powerful, he could make us believe, or kill us. If their god was really all loving then why would he make atheists and then not let them go to Heaven? And if we get to go to heaven too because God loves us and we don’t have to spend our lives in humble servitude to him, then Christians who don’t want to risk that are envious of us for getting to live our lives how we want and still maybe getting to go to Heaven.

In fact that they hate us means on some small level that they don’t actually believe 100% and that pisses them off! Because if they REALLY believed all that stuff, then why couldn't they just smugly know we are going to hell and sit back and bask in the glory?

By virtue of atheists existing, it pokes holes through everything they believe and they hate us and understand that when people overcome their fear of the unknown they go looking for the truth and the way to truth isn't anything that religion offers. And they know that anyone willing to ask for information regarding the truth need only ask an atheist and we are more than happy to let them have that info.

Thus by our existence we plant the seeds of doubt and the more doubt there is, the more people start asking the really important questions that we are more than happy to answer and on some level Christians, especially the fat white rich republican kind, know that less believers means less in the collection plates.

What fat, white, republican, conservative Christian has told you to go to hell? I'm a white, republican, conservative Christian and I've never told anyone to go to hell. Despite what you believe about God (or don't believe, as the case may be), He still loves you and died for you just as He did for me. It's hard to hate someone when you see them how God sees them.

im pretty sure no fat white republican man has come looking for you then has come up to you in public and has told you to go to hell, so stop whinning(and stereotyping). Look, im Catholic, and in this religion we respect other people's beliefs no matter what it is.
Besides if you are truly an atheist then why are you mad that you are being told to go to hell( for you that should be like telling someone that they are going to the planet sokiadhehfrhgu) , why are you thinking that they should go to hell, could it be that you believe in a heaven and hell?

I'm a Christian. I'm also White. I'm NOT fat, and I'm NOT Republican/Conservative, OR liberal, but "middle of the road". I respect you as a human being, and I respect your right to have differing opinions, wrong though they may be. And whether you recognize it or not, you ARE a child of God. Possibly a disobedient child of God, but a child of God nonetheless. It's up to Him to judge you, certainly not me!

Maybe the people you are referring to aren't telling you to "go to hell".....maybe they are telling you that you "will go to hell" if you don't wake up and smell the coffee.

If you were an atheist you wouldn't believe in Hell anyway.
So why would you tell someone to go someplace you don't believe in and also why would you be offended if you were told to go to a fictitious place.

By the way your definition of a Christian is amusing since we are of every race and creed.
Educate yourself before you embarrass yourself again.
The Truth will still be The Truth when you decide to believe it.

first of all, maybe you should think about the stereotypes you are giving. fat? white? not all conservatives are fat and white. but to answer your question, I am a conservative(yes i'm white, but not fat) and i respect atheists' right to choose their religion or lack thereof. I may not agree with what they do, but i respect that they have the individuality to choose who or what they do or don't worship.

Because it is the "Christian's" "Job" according to the Bible to tell you about God and "save you fron the lake of fire". The Bible says that if someone goes to hell that you could have told about Jesus and Salvation...that their blood is on your hands or something. Basically meaning if you could have tried to save someone, but didn't take the opportunity...you're responsible for them going to hell. I don't agree with this, but I was raised in the church and I know a little bit about what they believe. At least, that's what they tried to teach us.
