The weird part is, whether you take Job literal, or figurative, the story relates to you today. In some degree. When eveything is going wrong, just stay strong in the faith. Your reward is beyond this world.
As far as Satan goes, why God allowed it to happen ( Satan tempting us ) we wont know in this world.
This life is a test of our faith. Imagine us telling God before we are born, I will always be loyal, and him daring us to test our faith by being "born".
God knew us before we were born, so, its all for a good reason !

That is an excellent question. God does have the ability to know all things. However, he can choose when to use this power. Suppose someone had great strength. Does this mean that person would go around lifting cars all the time just because he could. Or if someone could play an instrument wonderfully, would he play constantly just because he had that ability? Of course not! God has perfect control of his power to know the future and at times does not use it. This is loving because if he always used it, he would be taking away the gift of free will he has given us, to choose our own future. Angels also have the gift of free will. If a good father has an adult son who is rebellious and leaves and becomes a thief, that is not the fathers fault and definitely not what he wanted for his son. Satan created himself. The word "devil" means "one who slanders another with lies" and "Satan" means "enemy, or opposer". So, he turned himself into God's enemy. Also, Satan's challenge in regards to Job that he only served God out of selfish interest and would turn on him if the blessing ever ceased, does indeed extend to all humans. We can all prove him a liar by our actions.

Satan (Destroyer) was created by God beautiful. Satan is the old Dragon that deceived mankind & caused the death sentence upon all mankind. The wages of sin is death. The fallen Halal/Lucifer (winged cherabim) was an angel who rebelled, exalted self was originally created beautiful & wise. He thought He was better than God though and iniquity was found in Him. In Revelations, the old dragon's tail swiped 1/3rd of God's Angels out of Heaven. The old Dragon deceived not only the first Adam but also 1/3 of Heavenly Angels.
God gives mankind choice to seek Him or not. God knew mankind could disobey, so He had a backup plan. The woman's seed would squish the snakes head. It had to be the woman's seed and not man's where we get the sin nature. Her seed was born in a manger. He is called Emanuel, God with us. He is named Jesus, Yeshua (He shall save His people). Jesus defeated Satan at the cross, for He was sinless. He died for our sins, & death could not keep Him in the grave. He rose from the dead victorious with the keys to death & hell.
The lake of fire was created for Satan and His angels. This is probably because God's own people have been so deceived that they had sacrifice their own children through fire to Devils.
Jesus covered all sin on the cross, even the killing of innocent. Jesus is the Son of God, Sinless Lamb of God. He gave Himself to be the sacrifice for our sins. He is our High Priest after the order of Melchizidec. He paid the price once & for all.

The reason that all that deosnt make sense is because its not really true.
its an story that men have made up to explian why things sometimes go bad for them. No ones like to think that everything that happened bad in life is either directly their fault or a random feature of a large chaotic universe that doesnt particulary care that we are here.
These stories provide men with confortable, self-serving explanations for why stuff happens. It certainyl doenst help us solve any problems, but it makes us feel a littel more important to knwo that some giant magical crteature really care what we do and how we live our lives.
you need to understand what these stories say about the people who wrote them, not try to grasp some sort of actualy linear logic in them.

The Archangel exercised his freedom of will to embrace evil. God gave the freedom of such choice to everyone He had created. He did not prevent neither Lucifer nor Adam and Eve from falling. God chooses anyone to advance His purposes. Unfortunately for Satan, there is no restituion because apparently no one can pay for his sins.

I really don't want to say any thing after the Holy Qur'an. Yes we have free will and He knows all things but we are created to witness ourselves and how we disobey so that on judgment day we do not have an argument against God. We are all good, but it is our tendencies, specially from our parents that we decide to stay on a stray path. Every one is judged to his capacity and knowledge.

What a question!! I cannot answer it as it is mind boggling just to think about. It goes along with where did Cain (or Abel I can't remember who killed who) get a wife from if Adam and Eve were the only two people prior to then?

To believe in anything but the fact that Satan is an agent of G-d is to believe in a polytheistic religion.
