A "liegeois" is a native of the city of Liege in Belgium. There is a very rarely used dialect of the French language spoken by the inhabitants of the Liege area that is also known by that name.

The Liegeois speak French, and they belong to the Walloon (Wallon) community in Belgium. These are all francophone. The other community is the Flemish (Flamands) and they speak a language known by the same name, which is a younger sister of the Dutch spoken in the Netherlands.
