Hello question man.. :)
You are so correct..people put us down when we give tithes and to the missionaries, which go to the poor, needy, homeless and hopeless..
But yet it is alright to use taxpayers money to kill a baby..
Controversy and Criticism
In August 2005, amidst some controversy, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate (the San Francisco section of the organization) released an animated video depicting violence against those critical of Planned Parenthood, including the drowning of an abstinence proponent in lubricant, blowing up zombie-like demonstrators at their clinic, and decapitating one of them with a giant condom.
The link from its main page was quickly removed after some criticism began.[8][9]
Planned Parenthood has been accused in several cases of providing illegal late term abortions on minors without parental notification, and agreeing not to report statutory rape to the authorities.
They have also withheld court subpoenaed medical records of minors who've sought "reproductive health services" in several instances.[10][11]
Because Planned Parenthood provides abortions and contraceptives, pro-life citizens and organizations who view these actions as immoral often picket and protest outside Planned Parenthood run clinics.
LifeNews.Com recently criticized Planned Parenthood for their new advertisements including the chance to win an iPod and discounts on movie tickets.
They believe this series of advertisements is aimed at teenagers, and do not believe teenagers should receive services from Planned Parenthood clinics.
One poster depicts a teenage girl whispering into the ear of her friend with the caption, "Get free movie tickets? Yes. When you tell a friend about Planned Parenthood."[12]

"Jane Roe" switches sides"
In an interesting turn of events, "Jane Roe," whose real name is Norma McCorvey, became a member of the pro-life movement following her conversion to Christianity, and now fights to make abortion illegal.
In a press conference held on January 18, 2005, McCorvey claimed that she was the "pawn" of the ambitious Weddington, who was looking for a plaintiff to challenge the Texas state law prohibiting abortion.
Using her prerogative as a party to the original litigation, she sought to reopen the case in a U.S. District Court in Texas and have it overturned.
See McCorvey v. Hill, 385 F3d 846 (5th Cir 2004). Her new stance is based on claims made since the decision, claiming evidence of emotional and other harm suffered by many women who have had abortions, and increased resources for the care of unwanted children.
On June 19, 2003, Judge David Godbey ruled that the motion was not made within a "reasonable time." On February 22, 2005, the Supreme Court refused to grant a writ of certiorari, ending McCorvey's appeal.

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..
ADDITIONAL: Logical proof abortion is murder..
If a woman is pregnant, (no matter how far along she is) is injured in anyway and that injury causes her to loose her unborn child, that person, that inflicted the injury as to cause the loss of this baby, can be found guilty of murder..
Remember the Lacy Peterson trial, her husband was convicted of her and their unborn sons murder..

I think parenthood is the most important thing a person will choose to do in life. Since I feel this way I definetly feel it should remain a choice. Being a good parent takes all the love, commitment and resources most have to give. It should not be forced on someone not ready or able. I do think that we need to focus on preventing unplanned pregnancy and I think planned parenthood does a lot to help in that regard. They provide important services to women seeking to be responsible for their reproductive behavior. I've seen children in foster care and seen that many of them grow up in foster care without getting adopted because no one wants these older, troubled kids. A friend of mine just adopted an infant from Haiti for less than what many spend on a new car. In China there are estimated over 500,000 children in orphanages where in some instances the one year survival rate is 50%. I am quite sure these children suffer and feel loneliness and pain before they die. A first trimester fetus however is not developed enough to know it even exists. Lets focus on the more real and immediate needs of those who are here and on helping people make responsible reproductive choices not on involving the government in dictating what someone does with their body. Making it illegal will not make it go away anyway.

Um, can we say "hysterical tirade?" There isn't even a question here, and this person obviously doesn't want a real debate. However, "fetus" is a biological term for the next stage of development, between an embryo and a baby, so NO IT IS NOT A BABY. At least define your terms correctly. The reason the organization is called Planned Parenthood is because their services include many things, other than abortion too, that allow people to plan their pregnancies appropriately and in a healthy manner, from birth control to prenatal health care.
So, who have you adopted lately? Hmm? I didn't think so.

Maybe we should bring more of these children into unfit homes to unfit parents....And maybe we should start turning out more delinquents and dangerous unstable non contributing members of society, as they often come from these types of situations. Abortion is not an ideal solution, but neither is ushering as many babies into the world as we can, just because people can have $ex, does not make them fit to raise a child. We have far too many children without parents or in horrible situations as it is. I sympathize with the people who are deeply wounded by the thought and practice of abortion, but it is a fact of life, society, and a sign of the times. Would you suggest we start controlling peoples ability to conceive?? Probably not.
Not to mention all the other reasons why abortion have to take place, I am not informed too much on the subject and do not claim to be. But you seem to be uninformed on reality and how it works.

The $280 million + figure is rediculous. If you really cared about money, that figure would be nothing in comparison to all the money the government would have to spend on increased social benefits to low income, single mother households.
LOGICAL PROOF THAT ABORTION SHOULD BE LEGAL:
1. Someone can go to jail for unintentially killing their child (eg leaving it in a hot car) for unintentional manslaughter.
+
2. A miscarriage is unintentionally killing a fetus.
+
3. A fetus is a child.
=
A miscarriage is unintentional manslaughter and should be punishable by five years in prison.
unless you believe that, then abortion is not manslaughter, much less murder.

I think you may have the definition of oxymoron confused.... PPH is exactly what it says. They help you Plan for Parenthood rather than it just happening. I mean I personally could never get an abortion, which is why I use birth control from PPH. PPH isn't just about aborting babies. State those facts too. I wouldn't get an abortion but I believe in Choice! No one has a right to tell me what I can and cannot do with my body.
Are you one of those religious right people? Why is it okay to kill Iraqis but not unborn babies? I would really like G.W. to tell me why it is okay for a man to be put to death by his state but not okay to kill an unborn baby?

no. Not an oxy moron. Although your asking the question does bring a similar question.
Planned Parenthood would hope that when parenthood does occur it is planned. This is to offer both the child and the mother the best possible options for their lives.
If you choose to force young women to bear unplanned preganancies, they lose a great deal of their own power in their own lives. While I understand that you hope to offer the offspring a life regardless of the quality of that life and regardless of the parent's ability to provide and care for it to help it develop to its fullest potential.
I find it interesting that most of the people trying to limit the services to womens health, and limit the options to women, and interfere witht the operations of these clinics are men. I wonder if these are some of the same men who were quite willing participants in creating the unplanned for unsupported pregnancies?
The only choice is whose rights and welfare are to be considered more highly. And who pays the consequences.
Granted, more selective sexual activity on the part of both men and women is desirable. But when a woman chooses to go through with a pregnancy, she pays the price in so many different ways physically, psychologically, socially, economically, and in raising the child her future is altered significantly. Much of this could be alleviated by better more favorable social policies to assist parents. Some of it, cannot be addressed or completely managed by social policy. She must have all options available to her to determine her future and to be prepared for the children she does choose to bear, when she chooses to bear them.
Lysistrata had the right idea.
Women, all women should simply refuse to have sex at all and ever, with any man who does not support the woman's right to choose what to do with her own body and her own life.
Do not marry them. Do not stay married to them. Do not date them. Under no circumstances reproduce their kind.
If she cannot be trusted with a choice, how can you trust her with a child?

I agree with your views on abortion. However I don't know about the planned parenthood where you live but the one here DOES NOT do abortions. They help women by providing a low to no cost way of keeping up with womens health as in getting rountine pap smears and such and providing contraceptives to them as well. I've never been to any other Planned Parenthood except the one where I live...I hope none of the other Planned Parenthoods agree with abortion.

Planned Parent Hood tries to stop girls from getting pregnant first. If that fails, they give them the right to choose.
Next time you are standing outside an abortion clinic, protesting, why don't you offer to adopt the poor girl's baby. Offer to pay all related expenses from the pregnancy and pay all her hospital bills too?
I can't stand all of you sanctimonious, holier than thou, people. It's easy to spout a bunch of stats, but what are you doing, personally, to help?
I personally don't believe in partial birth abortions. And I wouldn't choose to have an abortion, but you, nor anyone else, has the right to make that decision for any woman. You act like women and young girls make this decision lightly. Get over yourself, and mind your own damn business. It is between a woman and her God.

Yes, you're right. Parenthood should be unplanned, always. We shouldn't let people choose when and how they become a parent. We should preserve the life of each individual of the human species, its not like the world is overpopulated or anything.
Also, you don't have a ******* clue what an oxymoron is, do you?
