I see alot of african american kids with really tight braids in their head.doesnt it hurt or gives them a headache.I have seen it on little babies aswell.Looks a bit uncomfortable to me.Everytime i tie my hair up if it gets little to tight i would get a headache after 1-2hrs.so i was just wondering.

Sometimes the braids look tight but they really aren't. Although they can be painful at times when your hair starts to grow the braids will loosen up in no time.

Yes, it hurts. At least to me it does. But I guess it also depends on the thickness of the hair. Lots of my cousins have braided hair, and they do it themselves.
I once had one of them braid mine. Wow, that was a pain. And after 2 hours, she broke a nail and only got to halfway -.- I had to have my aunt do the other side.
But, yes, it can hurt. And your question isn't racist at all, since you don't know and are asking out of curiousity.

It depends becuase if u have a sensative scalp it wil hurt a little but if u get used to it....it won't hurt that much. If it's ur first time it might hurt. I don't know u so i'm not going to yell at u! don't worry!

If you are tender headed anything will hurt your head, but so far as the African American Kids this hairstyle will not hurt they're head because they may be ued of this hairstyle.

FOR SOME IT DOES BUT THEY LOOSEN UP. BUT FOR THE GROWN UPS SOME DO TOO. MY HUSBAND BRAIDED MY HAIR HE'S MUSCULAR LIKE DEBO OF THE FRIDAY MOVIES. I TOOK AN ASPIRIN BEFORE HE STARTED AND I DID NOT HAVE A HEADACHE. I HAD PERFECTLY TIGHT NEAT BRAIDS.
