John 11: 35 Jesus wept. Jesus wept because the people didn't believe that He was who He said He was the Christ and they didn't believe that He had the power to raise Lazarus from the dead. John 11: 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

Well, it makes me weep that Darthritus can't spell the word Conjugate :-). As for Jesus, he wept for the city of Jerusalem, knowing that it wouldn't accept him and would therefore be destroyed by the Romans in AD 70.

John 11:33 says ". . . He groaned in the spirit and was troubled, . . ." Why was He troubled? From the first part of this scripture, it says ". . . Jesus saw her weeping. . .".
It is my theory that Jesus wept, is because he ". . .saw her weeping. . . ." He was sad that she was sad. He definitely didn't weep in John 11:34, so it was evident that the weeping in John 11:35 was referring to this.
I am not an expert. I researched it. I have read other opinions on this, but from knowing how to read books, I would say this is what the passage is referring too.

He wept. Because he had done so many miracles and even then the people didn't believe that he could still do one more. He was frustrated and saddened by their unbelief and stupidity. They were like sheeple that had gone astray and were too stupid to know right from wrong even though it was in front of their eyes. He probably said "after all this they are so dumb that they still believe in evolution" what more can he do???

It was when Lazarus died. Jesus must have known that He was going to raise him from the dead. But He loved Lazarus and his sisters very much, and his sisters were hurting. My guess is that Jesus wept out of love and showed his emotional side. People tend not to realize that God/Jesus are very emotional.

Jesus even though a perfect man, had feelings and emotions. His good friend Lazarus had died, and the sorrow displayed by his family moved Jesus to weep.
On many occasions Jesus displayed compassion.
For example, there is an account where a leper asks Jesus to heal him and says to Jesus "if you want to,you can make me clean".And Jesus responds "I want to,be clean"
Jesus raised a widows son from the dead and a young daughter of a officer.Even when exhausted he felt pity for the people and would teach and heal them.

Hey he is Jesus and he can do what he wants.
What situation of his were you referring to, whatever it was, he was probably weeping because of some evil or stupid thing that some other human was doing, since he loves us it must have hurt him to see it.

Because he was under such great emotional stress that his tear glands got into action to relieve the stress. Crying is an evolutionary fit way of easing stress.

He was just a man getting beat and nailed to the cross. He was in pain and very very scared as any man would be.
His own business was collasping around him and his so called teaching was back firing and he was the one suffering and getting killed (unlike ceos of now a days who can just blame others except them selfs).......who wouldnt hurt, feel pain and cry..............
