So tell me what defines a religion. I read some things that people believe they are not religious when they defend something that they believe in. Would that make you a believer of a new religion since you follow a certain teaching. Am I not correct?

Evolution is indeed a RELIGION! No proofs, just conjectures piled on one another. It takes SUPER faith to be an evolutionist. -But IT IS Politically correct to be one!

NO evolution is not a religion it is a SCIENTIFIC FACT, maybe you need to do more reading. Both micro and macro evolution has been proven and witnessed. More recently a bird and a fish have been observed proving macro evolution. As for evolution theory that doesn't mean evolution is a theory anymore it now means mechanisms within evolution eg natural selection. Evolution is not even something to be argued anymore it's only the stubborn and ignorant that still deny it. If you study it there is no 'missing link' or lack of evidence at all. Seems xians have put a lot of anti-evolution propaganda and there are a lot of misconceptions out there. Careful what sources you look at on the web it's full of misinformation as well as some really good sites as well i wish i hadn't deleted my websites or i'd post them for you... FYI: late john paul the second announced many years ago that evolution was a fact so i don't know why ignorant xians still fight evolution when the pope himself has declined. There is also the possiblity that they could be compatible if xians were smart enough to accept it. Even michael behe has accepted most all of evolution now, except for thinking it all started by god not chance.

Evolution is a THEORY. That means there is evidence that indicates it is a viable explanation of something we were not here to witness.

Is the United States of America a religion? I don't think so. It is founded on principles I believe in and will defend, but I will never worship it.

A RELIGION is a set of practices or beliefs aimed at expanding your spirit/behaviors/life to encompass the (usually) unseen realities outside your own little ego. Hopefully, this expansion is in a desire to understand and honor Universal Truths.

However, a lot of people 'stop short' of such a goal, and embrace America, the Theory of Evolution, the power of money, or a thousand other issues as their religion.

The bottom line is that just about any idea can be a 'Religion', but only if YOU make it so for yourself.

Evolution is a dangerous state-sponsored religion. Just ask Robert V. Gentry, who was shunned by the scientific community when he discovered Polonium Halos, which are unrefuted evidence against the idea that the earth was once a molten ball of rock which slowly cooled.

Science is about questioning, not defending a theory just because "everyone else believes it" or "smart people believe it". People who believe in evolution just because that's what their teachers said was true are just as bad as people who believe in creation just because that's what their pastors told them. You should draw your own conclusion based on the evidence, one way or the other.

Evolution is not a religious belief, "Creationism" or "Intelligent Design" is. Evolution has fossils and other scientific findings to back it up vs. a belief system.

Of course, all science cannot be "proven" and is a theory. But test the "theory" of gravity sometime by dropping something heavy on your foot. I bet you'll find this science as real as evolution - when your foot stops hurting! :o)

Evolution is not only a religion, it is supported by local taxes in the public schools.

Evolution is Science.
Religion is something created by man to help him explain that which he does not know and to give him comfort.
That is all that religion is!

"There are three essentials of the church: acknowledgment of the divine of the Lord, acknowledgment of the holiness of the Word [Bible], and the life which is called charity" (Divine Providence n. 259[3]).

Also, "Every man [or woman] can be saved, and those are saved who acknowledge God and live rightly" (Divine Providence n. 325).
