yes it is extremely bad for bones. It is said that if you want to clean rust from nuts and nails you can do it with Pepsi or coke cause they are pretty-strong acids. So just imagine how they can clean your bones out of your body.

I don't know if it's bad for your bones but if you're drinking that stuff AND NOT drinking healthy drinks, you're not helping yourself out at all.
I think there is some actual research that people who drink soda/pop/cola do have weaker bones, but it could just be that those types of people do other unhealthy things too.
BTW Princess is partly wrong... the soda doesn't come into direct contact with your bones... that only applies to your teeth.

I can't specify how factual that statement is, but I have heard it before. According to some, drinking sodas can reduce the amount of calcium in one's body and is thereby capable of negatively affecting the strength and capacity of the bones.

I know it's bad for your teeth, I'm not sure about your entire skeletal frame. I think the more important aspect is that most sodas don't provide any healthy benefits (calcium and other nutrients) for your body, which do work to keep your bones strong.

Supposedly something in soda leaches the calcium from bones and pediatricans worry that kids who drink soda are missing out on putting calcium in their bones by not drinking milk.

If you listen to everything the media tells you that's good or bad for you, you will go insane. Take anything in moderation and it won't be bad for you.
