That is a myth. hair becomes darker as we age but not from hair color. What you are seeing is an illusion. Because the hair at the roots is darker than the ends the stark contrast makes it look darker than it is.

no, your natural hair colour is predetermined at birth. It only seems darker when it grows in because you're used to looking at the lighter dyed hair.

lol what? What is this world coming to? Most peoples hair darkens as the get older, you really have nothing to compare your hair too if you dont see the real color for years cause you always dye it. Even if it was still the same exact shade it would still probally look different cause you haven't see it in so long.

I've never heard that before and i dye my hair alot. My natural color is still the same. It could be possible, but I dont think it is. Because dyin your hair, you're dyin whats already there and your natural is not grown yet.

All I can say is that my daughter is a natural platinum blond. She kept on dying her hair different colors throughout the years and she finally let it go natural, it was very dark. Does that help?

Don't know if this helps, but I have strawberry blonde hair - I tried to dye it light auburn.. it turned out dark purple. Only did it once to find out that it wouldn't work. It wasn't what I wanted, but I sure did have cool looking hair in highschool!!

I don't think so, as you age your hair will darken, and then be lighter when the Grey sets in.....
