Studs are threaded rods, can be screwed into a tapped hole on something (like a block) or just used like a bolt (as when joining two sections of flanged pipe together).
Bolts are like threaded rods, but have a "head" that provides a means of turning the bolt and provided a bearing surface for the bolted connection (so it'e bigger in diameter then the threaded part).
Nuts a machined piece of metal, threaded on the inside, that fit over a stud or bolt to complete a connection.

Studs are a unit that is solidly attached at one end, (like a wheel stud on your car) with a thread on the open end to receive a nut.
A bolt is a metal rod with thread on one end, (it may extend the full length of the rod) and a head on the other end.
A nut is a metal unit, either square or 6 sided, with a hole through the centre that is threaded.
Nuts are screwed onto studs or bolts to hold two or more objects together.

A bolt is like a screw only it has a flat end rather than a pointed one. A nut goes on the end of the bolt to hold it on to whatever you want it to. As far asI know studs are like the big earings people get on their tounges. Click on the link to see pics!
