You could be getting electrical/magnetic interference. This can happen if the monitor is adjacent to high voltage (like 440v) lines that generate a strong magnetic field. The magnetic field will interfere with the monitor. Also, any nearby equipment with heavy motors (like a fridge) can do it too. Try moving the computer and monitor to a different location and see if the problem still occurs.
Your monitor could be failing. If you have one, hook up another monitor to the computer, to make sure it is not the video card in the computer. If that is okay, then you will need to replace the monitor. If it's under warranty, great, if not, sorry.

Make sure that that speakers are not placed close to the monitor because they cause disturbances in the monitor due to their magnetic field....If this is not the case, then find help from your local dealer..

check your power cord-make sure its in all the way and no pets have chewed it, other than that I'd say its burning out. this may sound stupid-but dont try to fix it yourself....if not done by a professional monitors can explode
