roses (not necessarily all flowers as long as the guy is creative about it) ( I would love a daisy sometime!), stuffed animals ( we are not in 5th grade), chocolates, gift baskets...pretty much anything that is already packaged and shows that absolutely no thought was put into it. And jewelry is also getting tiring, yes it's nice but it seems like such a SAFE gift to give.

Definitely Flowers unless accompanied by something else...a bit more personal. Flowers make a fine fist time courting gift, along with date,....however unless it's for an anniversary, ALSO accompanied by a thoughtful diner or a piece of jewelry.....I have this to say. Do NOT think we women care in the least about receiving flowers and wanting to look at them....I would rather see paint dry.
Yes, it is the budget at hand, but there are far more thoughtful gifts to be given...oh and forget the chocolates,....it's not use guys. From time to time if you want to surprise us with flowers for no reason at all...remember that gift could be anything. The best gift is YOU...yes, I after all of this said it...YOU ..showing up with a smile is the best...ready to laugh, listen and take to heart what is on your lady's mind ~ BTW therre is nothing wqrong with a lady giving a gift to her date.....now..think about that one. It is not a common practice, but then I am not common.....it goes both ways. Thank You!

Safe gifts--- meaning the usual flowers, or already put together gifts you find at shops
What they love? Something different than the typical that show you know thier personality. For example if a girl loves dolphins, a dolphin necklace is better than a heart necklace. Or even a gift that represents the first time u met even if it isnt expensive or glamorous will go a looooong way.. Trust me!!

I love flowers...anytime of anykind. I think that I would not appreciate getting stuff like lingerie. Even though I could not truly say that I can read the guy's mind, I would imagine that this gift would be more for his enjoyment rather than mine.

dont get something that is gonna die in like a week
(like flowers) if it dies she might take it as a sign (not good). ne thing pre put together. even if you just go to a dollar store, buy like things then you put them together, use your brain!!

the run-around...........seriously, any gift is appreciated when it comes from the heart. just ask any mom who has crayon drawings on her fridge.
