Typically you should have at least 1500 calories in order to lose weight. Remember , you must eat to lose weight. And this is my assuming you are a woman. For a man I think it is 2000.

Your daily calorie needs are 1200-1500cal depending on if you are athletic or not or if your a femaile or male. Just eat the right good carbs try to stay away from bread and sweets, drink plenty of water. Im on a diet so im still calculating my calorie stay under 1200 cal and i eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and eat some healthy protein like beans, baked skinless chicken and nuts

when on a diet you should aim for 500 calories lower than usual caloire intake but do NOT go below than 1200 calories per day unless on a medically superviised diet.

I think it's 1300 a day....don't quote me, but I think that's what my doctor said I had to AT LEAST have every day.
