my man has a small case ( right now) of this disease and will not stop smoking. I know it is hard to stop but I love him and do not want to lose him. any suggestions? from smokers too because I dont want to offend anyone I just need help.

I think the best thing you could do is find some pictures of smoker's lungs and cancerous lungs and show him. That is what his lungs will look like 10 years from now. I am a Med student and have been in lung transplant surgeries where the lungs that are removed as are as black as pavement. This should get him to reconsider his habit.

GET HIM TO QUIT!! There is no such thing as a "touch" of it. This is serious. the small sacs in his lungs are being destroyed that do the O2 exchange and they don't grow back. He will later be on an oxygen tank if he continues and will have a miserable life. get him some gum, hypnosis whatever it takes. I have seen it too many times as a paramedic and it made me quit smoking!

I guess he already know that smoking is making him worse. I know it hard to stop smoking but he could try to if it happen that will help. have him ask his doctor about what could be done for this problem.

request him to stop smoking, make love only if he quit smoking.
