I don't believe in taking breaks from relationships. I never go back when someone leaves or I break it off. You always work it out. Until it can't work, then there is no sense in hurting each other anymore. You will only end up hurt if he comes back. They usually want to pursue someone else and want to leave the door open in case the new love don't work out.

It could range from one reason to several reasons. Some people can't stand to break up with anyone so they look for any excuse while others get bored of someone easy. The reasons are his own, it could of been something you did, and then again it could be that he is one of those jerks that have no regard for anyones feelings. I really cannot tell you because I do not know you or him.

He wants to date and sleep with other people, and he doesn't have the maturity to break up with you like a real man. Don't be put on the back burner, you can find someone better who is ready to love you unconditionally.

He wants to have his cake and eat it to. During the "break" he will be doing whatever he wants, then when he decides he doesn't want a "break" any longer he will give you a call.

Maybe he wants to see if he is realy in love with you? Sometimes guys do that sorts thing and also maybe he wants to see if you will stick around when he comes back to you?
