I've got a 9 yr old Tibetan Terrier cross and lately he's been sleeping a lot more than usual.Every time I see him he's either on a bed or couch sleeping rather unsettlingly. What could be causing this? It's like he has nightmares. Please help!

the reason that he is sleeping more is probably because of his age. the nightmare part is questionable... talk to your vet about what is happening, they can give you a better diagnosis than i can.
Good Luck!

The others are right to tell you to take your dog in for a check up. He is getting a little old, he may be having pain from arthritis; that may make him have distress in his sleep.

Take him to the vet.

It might be something as simple as a cold, but it's always better to be safe than to be sorry.

Plus that way, if he isn't feeling good, the vet can get him back to his old self.
