Before Graduation, which side do you put the tassel on your graduation cap?

We had it on the right and then after it was all done we were supposed to move it to the left but no one did.

America's leading supplier of caps and gowns (E.R. Moore Co.) has stated: "The tassel may be worn over either the left or right temple. Either side is acceptable, depending on the standard established by your school and as long as all members of the graduating class wear the tassel on the same side. Some schools follow the tradition of transferring the tassel from one side to the other. This is done after all diplomas have been awarded. The entire class performs this in unison on a given signal."

Right and then switch to left after you graduate.

Hangs on the right side, moved to the left when you receive the diploma.

The tassle is on the left and then you move it to the right after you graduate.

It goes on the left... I think I forgot to turn mine does that mean I didn't fully graduate?

I believe it's the left, even though at my school we got jipped and didn't even get hats. But then once you do graduate (recieve your diploma) you put it on the right.

Left at first then to the right.
...sheesh its been so long ago now but I am pretty sure thats right.
