I ask this because Christianity is a relatively new religion (compared to Hinduism & Judaism at least). But Hindus do not claim that Hinduism is the one and only religion and that followers of newer religions (ie. Chrisitanity or Islam) missed the boat or the word of the Hindu God. I think that any religion that thinks they are the supreme religion or the one religion is bound to have problems. I don't think I need to give examples...we all know what I'm talking about. So then how do Chrisitans justify that thinking (Christianity is the only religion and non-believers will go to hell) when Muslims say the same thing? Who is right? Is anyone right? I personally don't think anyone is right but I'd like to hear your opinion. Please, keep it clean and attempt to give me facts (I realize that is difficult considering we're discussing religion).

I guess I'd be more interested in asking you a question in return. What might it mean for a person to have faith yet believe that they are not right? It may be possible for me as a Christian concede that I may not be right. Yet your question seems to assume that it would be better, and more wise, for Christians to assume a kind of pluralism in which everyone's opinion is right, which then also says that no one opinion is in fact right.

I guess what I'm saying is that it would be quite philisophically silly for a group of people, Christian, Buddhist, or otherwise, to believe that their religion is not true. What would it mean to adhere to a faith yet consider its claims to be only half-right? It could spell a psychological disaster. We all think we are right. Some of us may have an appropriate humilty about our sureness, admitting that we could be wrong; yet until we are proven wrong, it wwould make the most sense for people to actually believe that they are right and that others are therefore wrong.

Your question regarding hell is interesting. I believe that hell is more of a distancing oneself from God our Creator, and in that sense there is the real possibility of experiencing a real hell-on-earth. I believe in a God who loves people and will respect their choices. If people choose to reject or ignore their Creator, God is not the kind of god that would force belief on the masses. Faith and worship in God are voluntary, God respects the decisions of those who choose otherwise. "Hell" is the label that we Christians, who are beginning to understand what it means to live life in connection with God, give to the end destination of those who freely choose to ignore or reject God.

I'm Catholic and we are taught that God is loving and merciful. If someone is aware of God and denounces him and does evil deeds in his life, I doubt he would go to Heaven. However, if someone never had the chance to hear the word of God and was kind to their neighbor and was genuinely a good person, I think its wrong to say they'd go to hell because that limits God's mercy. But we're not the ones to judge, that's God's job.

Catholics just decided pretty recently that jews will also inherit the kingdom of heaven, and they recognize jews as the chosen people. Some sects of christianity are dividers, as well as some people. But, I don't think ALL are, at least not the Catholic christians. (however, they believe you'll go to hell for other reasons!)

God's people have always been around since the start of the world, Christian is a new name given to it since Jesus Christ and they use to mock the disciples because they follow Christ and called them Christians. So only the followers of God will go to heaven and those who choose to follow Satan will go to hell, that's what is outline in the Bible.

You are a muslim and "you personally dont think anyone is right" Please brother read the quran carefully and with translation and you will find all your answers.

The subject matter of The Qur'an is "man" (human beings) and it discusses those aspects of his life which lead to his REAL success or failure. The central theme that runs through the Qur'an is the exposition of "Reality" with the aim of inviting human beings to the Right Path. Its purpose is not simply to inform or to convince but to mould and transform. As such, it tries simultaneously to inform, to persuade, to convince and to motivate and mobilize men and woman to fulfil their mission in life.

The bible says that "all men fall short of the glory of God" "the only way to the Father is through the Son"

John 3:16-18

Jesus said: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one & only Son , that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed int he name of God's one & only Son."

So, if you don't believe Jesus said, you are condemned. I didn't say it. "Christians" as a whole aren't saying it. Jesus said it.

So, if you're angry, take it up with Him.

"whiteness of Super rin"

My god is superior than yours.

According to the Bhagavad Gita:

"I am alike to all being." "None is hateful or dear to me. But those who worship me with devotion are in me and I in them." " The Rig Veda, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita hold that all paths lead to the summit. "As men approach me so do I accept them. Men on all sides follow my path." God is leading all people of the world on to the fullness of life by diverse paths. The Hindu seer has no contempt for other religions. He does not believe that salvation is to be had only through any one particular religion. God does not refuse his truth, his love and his grace to any who, in sincerity, seek him, wherever they may be and whatever creeds they may profess. It is unfair to God's love and mercy to assume that he left millions of men to stagnate for thousands of years, practically without hope in the darkness of ignorance.

So intolerance goes agaist basics of Hinduism. But "true god" concept of christianity ,is just opposite of tolerance and respect for others.

Christianity is the fulfillment of Judaism. The Bible is Gods word. It says that we must repent and trust in Jesus as our savior. If any one reject Jesus then they reject eternal life in heaven.

For those who have not heard of Jesus, they will be judged on what they have known as right and wrong.

Somewhere in Revelation and one of the minor prophets say that non-Chrisitians will go to heaven. Not in those exact words, but the implication is clear. I gotta look it up.
