For Father's day, I want to show my appreication, love, respect to my dad. I want to make it personal, so that he will know how much he means to me. We did not get along great in the past,but now that I am older; I can see that he was just looking out for me. I am not a creative person, and I want to do more that get a card. Something like a poem or expression or letter. Anything! Any suggesntions?

Write him a heart felt letter that says what you mentioned in your question. Tell him how much he means to you and thank him for watching out for you. This will mean more to him that any gift you could possibly buy for him.

Well maybe think of something you two thought was great growing up such as even a comic book or lamp ect,. It won't matter what you give him really as long as it comes form his little girl. A father will always view their daughter as a little girl no matter how old they become. Even if you two used to sing a song or somthing like that then write that down or something like that. Maybe a picture of something also. Good luck

Well i think a card or letter,if hes into fishing or something like that then just the two of you can do something together,it will make for a memorbal moment.

What about getting him one of those, daddy and daughter carved out of wood figurines. You can usually find them at places like a christian book store. Those look pretty sentimental.I think they are called Willow Tree figurines. You can google it. Your Dad might just like to hear you tell him how you feel face to face. He will be really proud to hear tell him that. Thats what parents live for.

well,i think you can put down your feelings about him on a sheet of paper or may be recall an accident which brought you close to yr dad n present it!!you can also make a photoframe which has your photo with yr dad!!!but just make sure you do it yrself!!work done with commitment n love will never fail 2 impress people,buddy!!!i think yr dad would love to know how his child feels about him!!! best of luck,dear friend!!!!

get a pocket watch and engrave on the back " from your loving daughter for all the time that was lost and the time we have left"
or something of that sort!
