That is one of the oldest scam on record! Do you recall playing any lottery in UK? Read all the fine prints. It more than likely say call a specific number or e-mail certain information. Be careful! No one gives away money for nothing! I have received many such winning certificates and e-mail announcements. The mailed certificates end up in my shredder and the e-mail notices ends up in the trash. Beware, if you did not legitimately enter any contest that you are aware of then it is definitely a scam! Watch out for e-mails that ask you to deposit several million dollars into your account for someone who has a royal family member that died and left them an inheritance! These are all scams. Be careful and make the right choices!.. :)

If you are asked to pay some money before your winnings can be released. Don't do it. It's a scam !!
With the UK lottery you buy a ticket which has your selected six numbers.
Results are given on the internet. If you ain't got the winning numbers on your ticket you ain't won.
More then likely a scam.
Have a look at "419 Eater" on the internet to see how all kind of scams are operated.

That is the latest scam that is making the rounds. Anything and I mean anything that says that you won then wants some money up front for "taxes, finders fee, registration, etc" is not legitimate. If there are any fees like taxes they are deducted from the winnings. If you send any money, kiss it good-bye.
