I've had real good luck with a free program called CCleaner.

www.ccleaner.com

First time I used it I thought I'd mess everything up. But it worked just fine, has a built in backup "just in case", and I use it every couple of days. My computer seems to function as fast as when I first got it.

No., I have been fixing computers for 20 years and I have yet to see a good registry cleaner. The primary thing a registry cleaner does is evaluate all of the programs that are installed on your computer and compare this list with what the registry says and suggests deleting all entries which do not match. The problem is that they are not always correct. You will always see a disclaimer by the software saying that you need to back up your registry prior to running the program...JUST IN CASE..... I have seen more bad things happen from these programs...and trying to fix a registry is one of the most difficult and time consuming tasks that exists....If you really want to clean it up you can do it manually...but if you are not really computer savvy I would just leave it!

Tune up utilities 2006 free trial will do a decent job fixing some registry problems. There is no blanket fix software as the registry by its very nature can have problems that can only be recognized by experience and knowledge. If your registry is that screwed up, then usually even the professionals will tell you it is cheaper to reinstall your operating system than try to repair it.

Depends on your operating system and depends on the "problems."

Try using RegClean - it's an old Microsoft registry cleaner

There's no guarantee a registry cleaner will fix "all" or "any" problems. If you are getting some sort of error or can be more specific, we can probably help you more. Based on your other posts, it looks like you need to reformat your hard drive. (delete everything and reinstall)
Save everything you want to keep some place else like a cd or external hard drive. Write down any programs you want to remember to reinstall later. Then pop in your Windows XP cd if that's the version you have, and reformat it. Takes a couple hours to get back to the way you want though.

Generally, you don't need to access the registry - if you don't know hwat you're doing, you can delete important files that run your PC.

If you want to get rid of the crap on your system, download Window Washer from Limewire.com. You can also get Norton Anti Virus from this site - just look at the text file to understand how to install it.

These two programs will clean up your hard drive and get rid of any problems you have.

YES I CAN FIX COMPUTER PROBLEMS, USUALLY REGISTRY PROBLEMS CAN BE FIXED BY INSTALING A ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE,THAT IF YOU HAVE A GOOD ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE.

THE FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS SCAN YOUR COMPUTER FOR VIRUSES OR SPYWARE WITH A NORMAL ANTIVIRUS OR ANTISPIWARE SOFTWARE.
SO THE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE OR ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE USUALLY FIXES REGISTRY PROBLEMS WHEN THEY ARE FOUND.

THE WAY THIS PROBLEMS ARE FIXED ARE THAT WHEN A REGISTRY PROBLEM IS FOUND
THE ANTIVIRUS OR ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE WILL ASK YOU IF YOU WANT TO REPAIR OR REMOVE THAT MALICIOUS SOFTWARE FROM YOUR COMPUTER.

THATS HOW REGISTRY PROBLEMS ARE FIXED
