You don't give us much to go on here. I would say first, ask her mother. If that is not an option, ask her to write down a list of all the things she likes and would love to have. You, after all, have to consider your budget, as well. Right?
A gift certificate to a music store is a good and safe bet. Let her (with your help to check out suitability of lyrics, etc) pick out the CDs she most wants to own.
High School Musical is hot right now in both CD and DVD. If she does not own that, I would bet she would love it. It is a Disney production and most of the kids know all the words and dance numbers.
Best of luck.

Rather than buy a "thing" for her, why not spend your money on a special acitivity that you do with her. Ideas: spend the day at the zoo and purchase a special souviner, take her to the mall and spend the day just looking at all the things she likes, go to a pottery place like Walls of Clay and paint a ceramic piece together, go to a bookstore and find a really good book to read together, go rollerskating, swimming or bowling. Take her to get her hair and nails done, then for pizza. Have you taken her on a special "Date with Daddy?" Our daughters love this and it means so much more to them than getting another "thing." (And the memories last forever!)

Try buying a gift card to a store she likes, she will be responsible for money spent and she can pick out something she wants.
