Earlier this year the Vatican issued an order of sorts barring gay men from Ordination. This was a reaction to the several priests who have molested young boys, often altar servers over the years. I am not talking about them.

There hundreds if not thousands of priests, bishop's and relegios out there who are gay and you will never hear about them, but the World Press is out to make all priests look unworthy.

Although I am not attached to Rome, but am from an Independant Jurisdiction, I have seen many RC Priests, who have never done anything to anyone that have felt like they are not worth anything for all the service rendered over thier years.

If your going to pick up the anti-gay banner don't answer this question.

.Our society seems to focus on those who may cause pain to others and therefore judge all that are in that race, culture or now the gay rights issue. I can only say that I agreed with you. There are people who are social deviance in every aspect of life. But, like the old saying goods all it takes is a few bad apples to ruin the whole barrel. We are supposedly to be an intelligent society and should gain insight from past mistakes and not label everyone who is in that genre as equally deviant.

Homosexuality and Pedophelia are not the same though. 2 Gay men being together doesn't bother me a bit. An adult attacking and raping a child really sets me off. That's probably why the media makes them look unworthy. They are attacking children. Which is nothing like one adult asking another adult back to their place for some fun.
Ok, a little rephrasing, not all priests are pedophiles. Just the ones that have done it give the rest a really nasty image. And then for the RC Church to move and HIDE those men in other churches *Screams* It makes the whole church look bad.
But, IMO, I don't see why gays can't be priests.

If you didn't want criticism, you shouldn't have asked this question. Priests, or any ordained minister, should not be gay. Celibate is one thing, but actually professing to being homosexual is a sin. Forgot your references to Sodom and Gomorrah? There are others, too, about the sin of "man laying with another man", etc.
Churches who allow gays to be priests, bishops, and any ordination are only going be persecuted in the hereafter, and will not survive the "end of days" as it is called.

I'm am very PRO-gay actually. While I believe that homosexuals should have the same rights as anyone else, I have to raise an eyebrow when it comes to the church. Aside from the molestation issue, the Bible clearly states that being gay is a big sin (not that I believe that). So if someone is wanting to hold a holy position, then being gay seems to contridict their assumed beliefs.

If you don't want opposing views, why ask the question?
You could probably achieve your goal by just talking to yourself.
The Vatican issued this order because the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin. How can one lead a congregation closer to God while continually sinning without repentance?
To be ordained, one commits to follow God's law. A homosexual lifestyle is contrary to this.

1 Cr 6:9-11Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor *homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
If you read vs 11 it tell us such where some of us. If we turn from our sins and back to Him, we can be preists. The preist that continue in their sin should be removed and cannot be true Christians of the faith......Messenger

My personal opinion would be yes...but since I am not a member of your church...It's really none of my business.

The members of your church are the only ones who should decide...or even have an opinion..

Gays should be ordained to the priesthood ( as they always have been anyways), but they should also be celibate ( which they haven't always been)
