Satanism is the religion that is completely opposite of Christianity. The religion it self is a creation of authoritarian beliefs brought on by a strict religious system of Christianity. With satanism the idea is to worship ones body instead supreme Deity. Their practices are considered are mostly considered sacrilegious and allot of the times over the edge.
To answer your question yes satanism does hold a benefit to humanity to show what a strict religious structure can create. Satanism also hold the opposite end of the religious spectrum it gives a measurement of extremes and holds a place within the balance of the religious community and the world. So in essence just the existence of satanism helps benefit the religious community with balance to show that this would be your religion of true evil, and to show that at least you're not sinning as bad as they are.

Well ask is Christianity the philosophy of satanism, there belief in Satan is just as great as there belief in Jesus, if not they would not believe in HELL
So how has Christianity benefit humanity, they still preach and teach sin. They could just as well change humanity by not demonstrating or advocating capitalism as they know most of the followers will miss the mark,

It can benefit humanity, because it is based on striving and progress.

If a satanist invents a vaccine for bird flu, for instance, it benefits humanity--it doesn't matter whether his MOTIVE for doing it was personal wealth or to meet some personal challenge.

Satanism might encourage "selfishness" but it doesn't necessarily encourage cruelty or needless brutality. Christian churches are also often greedy and selfish.

There are some Christians out there who are extremely devout who never benefit humanity in any way. Would you ask the same question of Christianity?

"satanism" is religious satire not the actual worship of satan. The Church of Satan is all about pointing out how silly religion really is. I will say that they are as silly in their way of making a point as the churches are in their way of making theres so I see no real benifit from it other than the humor factor of watching the knee-jerking theists go apechit over something they don't understand.

from what i've seen on documentaries its misanthropic, its all about greed and selfishness. We need to realize that we can look out for each other and make the world a better place. the wiccan religion on the other hand much more kind and beneficial to society.

I would say no. They are too focused on egoism, which doesn't look out for society, but the self.

I personally don't think this is a good outlook for a person, but to each thier own...

It's an interesting question: I've wondered if there are satanist food drives and charitable outreach, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, etc etc.

I know little about the beliefs of these people. Just the name alone would tell me that it is not what should be.
