Absolutely not. Some people do not need it, and some people really are better off with a good circle of friends rather than a permanent life partner. It is not a traditional choice, but when I came into this world, I didn't get a checklist.

Also, some people really can not maintain monogamous relationships and are better off not putting someone else through a charade because it's something they think they "should" be doing.

You may have a better time out there by yourself, and it is a valid lifestyle choice. I truly think it takes a strong, independent, and intelligent person to go it on their own and not have to lean on someone else.

A life partner is not required to have fullfilment and happiness... look deep inside yourself and love you first. You may just find that you have love to give and what to share it with someone special.

Of some sort yes. Maybe not a husband or wife or mate, but someone with whom you can share and be understood. Yes, that is built into human nature to desire and reequire.

I don't think it is required, but I personally wouldn't live without one becasue they help you with lifes little ups and downs. I love my husband and wouldn't know what to do without him.

No, not really. Some people are perfectly happy alone, and some would rather die than be alone. All depends on how a person feels about it.
