If the area was properly marked as a construction area then you are out of luck. Even if it wasn't marked you would still be out of luck. Driving is considered a privelige(sp) not a right, that is what you will most likely here, you would have a better chanced if you were walking and tripped over the bump.

As others have answered, I would take pictures of the area. If it was not marked you may have a slim chance but they will argue that you were driving too fast for road conditions.

For one thing you can go to your local tv stations and let them know what has happened to your car, second you can take them to court, but before go to the legal aid department and see what they can advise you to do and if they can represent you on the case, most likely they will and won't cost you nothing. I would at least try, get an estimate and go from there. Take pictures of the street where it happened. Maybe call your city's mayor too.

I would file a claim with my insurance and also file a loss claim with the city hall. You should recieve compensation
