OK lizzie as long as you love each other you're parents are going to have to deal with it, and you guys need to tell them that (in a respectful way of course) that is so gooooood that youre waiting til you get out of school. but any ways let youre and his parents know that you guys are willing to take youre relationship to the very top and youre going to need their support , if they love you guys which im sure they do their going to to be happy about this because it makes you two happy.
congradulations , i wish you guys the best

Hate to say this, but your parents are probably right. Do you even realize how difficult marraige is? Make it a long engagement - Get through college first and if you still want to get married, go for it. The divorce rate is too high as it is because so many people get married when they shouldn't.

I was engaged too when I was 18 with "the love of my life". Things in my life changed and I now realize that I never really knew what love was back then, as soon as I met my current bf, I found out what love was.

Of course, back then, no one could tell me that I was wrong either...

Simple tell them that you two are 18 now and theres nothing they can do about it and you want to be togeather and if they dont back off and leave you two alone you will get married without them and move far away and they will never see their grandchildren. I know it sounds harsh but it just might give them the jolt they need to stop acting like children.

It all depends if you are going to collage or getting married.
If you intend to go to collage and get married then you love for each other will help you battle through dispite your parents. If you intend to stop collage to get married then I would advise you to wait as an education is very important in life. If love is strong it will wait until you finish your education

Remember Romeo and Juliet try going to school first and if the relationship stands the test of time tell both sets of parents where to go

let your parents know they will make it even better if they fight against it. tell them that it helps make the relationship stronger. it makes it a catch 22 for them if they oppose it.

tell them if they keep up this behavior you will be forced to shut them out of your lives. Tell them you are an adult now, and you need to make your own decisions....not them making them for you!!!
