She's fine. All this nonsense about "having" to drink 8 glasses of water a day is just BS. No truth to it. Drink when you're thirsty. Period.

Your body depends on water for cellular function. A majority of our bodies are composed of water and need it. If not taking in enough, our organs will not function properly and can shut down. Your kidneys need it to filter the impurities out of your body. Constipation is also a problem when not enough water is taken in. The average person should drink 1.5 liters or 8 glasses a day. If you exercise, you should drink even more because you are sweating. Maybe you can give her this information and especially emphasize the possible problem of kidney damage/failure with long term dehydration, she may then realize she needs this. Have her try mixing it up and try something different if she just does not like drinking plain water. You can subsititute wedges of lemon or orange as ice cubes and it will give the water a different taste, also if she likes fruit juices dilute it with 1/2 water :) Hope that helps, good luck!

The best way to keep reminding urself to drink water is to have a bottle of water in ur hand_while watching TV, while u r out , while in front of the computer..so u will automatically drink it.
If she doesnt like water, try the slightly flavoured ones that u get.
But a person does need at least 8 glasses of water a day.

there are new studies that show that if you drink when you are thirsty you are ok and that the "6 to 8" glasses of water started when companies started to sell bottled water there is also water in the food we eat so you also have to take that into account for her liquid intake your relationship will be better if you just let her be, my wife uses too much salt, but hey, she's an adult so she knows what she wants

8 - 8oz glasses a day
Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

8 glasses of water a day should be enough especially during the summer. Her electrolytes could be elevated if she is not hydrating herself. The kidneys will also suffer if you don't get enough water.
