Don't listen to them! Just don't end up with any old slapper just because you feel you're on the scrapheap. You can still find somebody who'll take your breath away just when you least expect it.

I read a report this morning that an 81 year old woman in old peoples' homes was approached by a gentleman of 79.Few weeks later, the lady went to have a face-lift. When asked why the face-lift, she said she wanted to look good.
The point I am trying to make hear is, it is not too late to get another lady, but you will have to try.
Infact, there are websites for your age group - it all depends on the age group of the woman you require.
Goodluck.

It is only too late if you THINK it is too late! If you KNOW in your heart that you would like to have a relationship again and you never give, then you will find love again. Have an open mind and an open heart and don't be too critical. Don't look for your love based on superficial things such as looks or financial matters. Look within the people you meet. Listen to them with all of your mind, heart and soul. And just go about your life as though you are not looking for a relationship. If you go about life looking, you will not find it. It comes when you are just going about and enjoying life as it is.

your friends??? hardly :) 59 isn't old at all....join a suitable club in your area or a dating agency so that you have things in common with prospective partners...get any REAL friends or colleagues to introduce you to women they think might be good for you or concentrate on hobbies or interests you already have and perhaps meet up with women who are enjoying the same things.
post an ad in your local newspaper and just be yourself :)
it can be hard dating again when you've been alone for a while but it ISN'T too late...by enjoying yourself and being involved in stuff you will become more visible to women and if you're happy and settled with yourself, confident without being arrogant about what you can bring to a new relationship, then i'm sure there will be a woman for you :) good luck with it and i hope you find that special someone soon ...

Your friends are just meany poos! Of course, it's not too late, are you still breathing? Are you still in possession of your faculties? If the answers are yes, then NO it's really not too late! I've recently seen an article in a magazine saying that a couple met up after several years apart and got married at, I think it was 92 and 98!
(For dating sites, why not try Yahoo personals? Or www.okcupid.co.uk)

It's not too late if you live in the U.S.A. My uncle has outlived two lives. He is now in his 80s and he has another girlfriend.
(By the way, he is NOT a rich sugar daddy. He's a down to earth, nice guy.)
And by the way, Americans love british accents, they just hate snobs.

It's never too late for companionship and whatever comes with it. Just because people get older(wiser) doesn't mean that they are no longer able to feel these emotions. If anything else I feel they are more apt to be successful because they are not for the games (hopefully) anymore.

Stephen Hawking bagged someone else's wife whilst he was old, paraplegic, couldn't communicate (except via his speech synthesizer) and already married.
Think you can beat those odds?
In fact, Steve is a super-hero. All hail Stephen Hawking.
