Being from the deep south, i.e. Louisiana, the best coffee is either Seaport or Community. Chicory may be added for the strong at heart and must be drank in a demitasse cup, milk and sugar as a preference.

The best coffee that I have ever had is from Barefoot Coffee Roasters at 5237 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara, CA. It is their "Cubano" coffee drink. It is really strong, but smooth. Cuban-style espresso is made by adding sugar to the container from which the espresso is served before brewing the espresso itself. This enables the resulting drink to have the strength of espresso, but with a smooth, sweet flavor that is unobtainable by simply mixing sugar into a regular espresso. Heavenly! The best ever was a latte at a hotel restaurant in the Dominican Republic.

Since then, the best coffee I've had is what I brew at home--Lofberg's Lilla, a Swedish brand sold at IKEA and supermarkets in Scandinavia. It's really nice.

Hard to say what the best is, as that's dependent on individual tastes. I've tried a lot of different coffee, and I will pass on the more expensive stuff for a good cup of Yuban any day though.

Oddly enouigh, Indian coffee. Asian coffee in general has a little bit of a fruity flavor. Whereas South American coffee is musky and strong.

I prefer organic, Fair Trade, made in an espresso machine. Many good varieties, eg, Kenyan, Mexican, New Guinea, etc.. I have to buy takeaways as I don't like instant and plungers aren't strong enough.
