Unfortunately - yorkies are pretty high. The Tiny or Teacup, and even the "runt" of the litter is outrageous. Don't buy from a pet store - they are overpriced and basically a puppy mill. Find individual breeders. Cheaper, easier to deal with, they know the pup, and the breed. Check classifieds, internet ads, and check at pet stores bulletin boards. Not to scare you away with a price - but I seen a mini yorkshire pup last week - reduced mind you for $900.00 I seen a listing for a tiny one - probably runt of the bunch - go for 1500.00 in our local classifieds. Who knows if that one sold. Sometimes they come with papers and you aren't allowed to breed them. Wealth for some and none for others.

Remember you get what you pay for!
But, by all means to do not purchase from pet store or puppy farm.
Check local papers: pets, see personal breeder, check their parent (dogs) - will know health of pup to adult!
