I know that our dreams come from our subconscious, but how do we stop dreaming something we don't want to dream? It is not a nightmare, just a dream. Does satan influence our dreams in hope that we might sin?

Unpleasant dreams are messages from your subconscious that say 'Hey, we've got a problem here that needs your attention.' Your subconscious doesn't speak English or any verbal language - dreams speak to us in symbols and dream situations. Sometimes if you ignore or run away from an unpleasant dream your dreams will become darker and more unpleasant, demanding your attention to fix whatever conflict is going on in your life, as reflected by the dream. Bad dreams are almost always about conflict - for example, you can't make a decision about something, or you can't face some reality you need to face, and that creates stress. The unpleasant dream is really you communicating with yourself, trying to nudge you to resolve the conflict that's been bothering you.

Next time you have a bad dream, suggest to yourself before going to bed the next night that you will have another dream (a nicer dream) which will help you understand the dream that bothered you. That's a great way to work through any puzzling dream, but you may have to try the suggestion several times before it works. And pay very close attention to other dreams you have, even the ones that seem to have no connection to your original dream.

Don't be afraid. Dreams are often gifts we give ourselves to help us work through problems and be happier people.

reoccurring dreams don't have to be satanic in nature. I would suggest you look at your life and see if there may be another reason. I used to have a very uncomfortable dream at least 3 or 4 times a year. The dream was that I had killed someone and buried them in the back yard. the dream would end just before someone would find out I had done it. Of course I never killed anyone so I couldn't understand it. Eventually I figured it out. In my real life I had a secret that I didn't want to share but I knew eventually it would have to come out. When I finally dealt with it and brought it into the light the dreams stopped. I believe my subconscious was telling me that I had to unbury my past and deal with it. I hope that doesn't sound too weird.

The dream world is just another way to say 'the spirit realm'. You better know that just as God is a spirit (John 4:24) so is Satan. Your dream life, a lot of the times, reflect where your soul is in the spirit, or what things are accepted by you. And if you are having dreams and can identify that the devil is influencing what you are dreaming, or you are continuing to dream things that are messing with your spirit man, then there are areas in your life that you have to begin to ask God for help with. You begin to fast and pray and bring your supplications to the Lord on why your are experiencing these things, God will reveal it to you. God Bless.

Satan does not have power to know what we are thinking, however, Satan does cause us to have nightmares or dreams that make us confused. If you want to stop dreaming something, pray before you go to bed and plead the blood of Jesus over your mind and tell yourself that you will have sleep that is peaceful.

Most of our dreams get information from what we see, do, hear and involve ourselves in, when we are awake. If we keep doing things of error which become natural to us, YES it will even come into our dream as such error living becomes a part of our living.

Satan IS A REALITY. He has the power, and he does indeed and can influence our dreams.

If your mind is constantly stayed on God, and meditating upon HIM, then there's no chance that satan can gain entry.

The scriptures say - Put on the whole armour of God so that you can withstand the devil and all his ways.

Satan is a fiction. Your dreams are an outlet of your waking life. Perhaps you could stop repressing your normal needs in life and it will help your dreams. Have some wine with dinner. Have sex. Be a good person.

Since Satan attacks our minds, I believe he can influence our dreams.

Although Satan knows our thoughts, I do not believe he is allowed to have any influence in our dreams.
