YES! Almost every time I read the Bible, no matter how many times i have read it - A passage will spring to life with new (not new, but rather unveiled) information and or inspiration I had not noticed before.

In times of trouble, it provides answers the same way. Indeed the Bible is the living word of God. It is perhaps the chiefest means of God communication with mankind, teaching them, leading them and guiding them.

The Bible used to be the real word of God until it was altered to the point that no one knew what or how much of the original remained. Therefore, God sent the last and final messenger to earth, The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) to give the world the FINAL word of God, the Quran, which God has promised will stay unaltered till the end of time. A promise which if anyone will take the time to learn about, has been kept for more than 1400 years, a fact which alone should prove its truth.

Without attacking anyone or their beliefs, I urge you to simply pick up a copy of the Quran and read.

To respond to earlier answers who aren't really aware of the Bible's history, each translation is taken from the original Hebrew and Greek text; it's not as if someone took a copy of the KJV or NIV Bible and said "hey, I'm going to rewrite this". As for "borrowing" from other religions, isn't it entirely possible that these things ACTUALLY happened, hence the many different accounts of it?

Numerous prophecies in the Old Testament have come true. In addition (and perhaps the most convincing to me), the Bible makes intuitive sense. Why shouldn't we treat others the way we want to be treated? Why shouldn't we be loving and accepting of others? Unfortunately, many Christians don't take this to heart.

I believe, and I take it on faith. I can't say I haven't ever had my skepticisms or doubts, but the way God has worked in my own life always convinces me otherwise.

No, because over the years , The true Bible was changed by many people , things were removed and added by certian people.

But , Qura'an is words of God , like a constitution for all mankind to organize their lives inorder to have the best living ever while you are on earth.
And Qura'an was not changed..If we compare every copy of the Quran with each other, we will find they match perfectly word for word - from the oldest copies to the ones printed just today. No human hand has changed it, Qura'a in the SUM of all other Holy books, and the right one. No OTHER BETTER reference.

Yes, the Bible is the living word of God it inspires every believer in any situation. Hebrews 4v 12 New International Version

''For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.''

I have often wondered why it is called the living word of God.
Here is what I have come to realize:
It is living. Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of the Old Testament -- a life.
We are the fulfillment of the New Testament -- a life.
The word never changes but it does not grow old. It is for every generation and every century.
I do believe it is the word of God given through inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the bible was written by man. A very long time ago too. Man has his faults and one of his majors ones would have to be exaggeration. The bible has been re-written so many times I don't believe there is much left to the original text.

No, old stories, a good portion of them stolen from older religions like the summerian. I assume by god you mean jehovah. There are a lot of gods out there you might want to call yours by name so nobody gets lost. The bible is fiction mixed with a few facts. Like most newer religions it takes from the older ones. It has also been translated so many times, nonone has much idea of what it is talking about. It is part of the current addiction that is modern religion.

The bible is the word of men. It's their interpretation of how they believed god wanted them to live and worship. The bible as we know it today wasn't first written down until hundreds of years after the crucifiction of Jesus. Just as Homer's Odyssey was handed down orally until someone finally wrote it down, I'm sure some things got...what's the word I'm looking for...slightly skewed.

Just my two cents.
