Does a truth become a lie or made null and void just because no one will believe it and stand up for it?

This question is for non-believers. I do thank all the believers for answering though. But mostly I want to see what everyone else has to say.

Moreso, how is truth determined. Mind you, I say truth not fact.

Fact- a piece of information
Truth- the REAL state of things

Truth can never be fallacy. And it can't become null and void but it can be forgotten, ignored and made to seem false by people who avoid truths.

Absolutely. Quantum-Physics show that an electron doesn't even travel the same way through a board whether it is observed or not. Basically, it doesn't exist until someone else decides it does. So it is with truth. An unobserved truth is a void... in itself much less convincing than a good told lie.

To Ryan E:
"If a tree falls in the woods but no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? (sorry for the lame cliche)

ANSWER: It takes ears to hear a sound
It takes eyes to behold beauty
It takes mind to understand truth
It takes soul to feel alive

So, before speaking of truth entirely seperate from human beings, you should name me one that is proven beyond and in spite of any of our senses and sensibilities.
Given the infinite possibilities and even God flirting with well-being and non-being simultaenously, I should expect an answer that is more thought-out than taught-on.

A fundemental truth is constant - peoples opinions do not change fact. People refused to believe the Earth rotated around the sun and not vice versa - until it was proved. The fact remained the same until it ws discovered.

If your thinking of an idealogical question such as Karma or the existence of a particular god then these will usually be opinions presented as fact and will differ greatly. The ultimate truth will show itself in due course as have all other discovories throughout our history.

Not on your life. Most people did not believe Jesus when he was here but does that make what He said a lie? Just because someone does not believe something does not make it untrue. Truth is truth no matter who or how many belive it or not.

Truth is Truth no matter what. But just because a group of people state it is Truth doesn't make it so. Which is why so many ask for proof......

Truth is an entity seperate from any human experience or action. As a person, you can never define or create truth; it simply exists.

I hope so. There are too many instances of terrible things like racism, sexism, abuse, and violence. Hopefully if we refuse to stand up for those people and defend their actions that truth will become a distant lie, and people in the future will think it's a myth.

No, the truth is always the truth and a lie is always a lie. If it it is spoken someone believes and someone (mabey only one ) will stand up for it.

Truth is truth. Let's say your shirt is blue. You tell a blind man that is blue but a by stander says that is red. Everyone who walks by says your shirt is red. That does not change the fact that your shirt is blue. Simple there huh? The same is true else where. Murder is wrong. If the goverment made it legal it would be no less wrong.
