I'm a Hindu, so the consequences of doing something "bad" to someone is that it is added to my "account" in the minus side. And I might have to suffer for it this birth or the next. Sounds too simplistic, but it's true... something like "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction." So maybe the reason someone is cheated financially is because he did it to someone earlier...

There is no consequence to my sin, as I am forgiven. I am free from the consequences of sin. Having said that, when I do sin, God points it out to me, and I get to spend the next little portion of my life ridding myself of it. It's definately a work in progress lol.

When you accept that God sent His Son to show you the proper attitude of your heart towards God, to show you how the law won't save you, only a yearning for God will, then you can at last be free from that whole "I'd better be good or I might go to hell" attitude. It's very freeing, knowing that no matter how much you mess up, it's okay, God will let that go because your motives are pure.

I know, you are saying that I'm giving myself an excuse to sin, but I'm not ... because again, it's where your heart is that matters, not the letter of the law.

the answer to your question is very simple with an eg, I think.
when you need to see your doctor that means you did something out of your health(faith) so your doctor give you some Strong tablets(faith) to help in your problem(sin) that you had. when you use that tablets(faith) your body system would be accepted the tablets as a necessarily stuff(faith). after few days you will be fine without any problem(sin). if you do right you would not get wrong.

According to the bible.....we sin because we are imperfect....so we unintentionally sin ever day....but when we choose to sin and do contrary of what God requires of us......the Bible says to put that man out of the congregation...not even giving him a greeting....Of course the sinner is given every opportunity to change his ways and repent....but if he doesn't he could corrupt the whole congregation.....

The Bible clearly states what the consequences are. Also, you will be separated from God unless you repent and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.

I am a devout practicing Roman Catholic.

I believe the consequences of sin are that you are moving further away from God. That means it will take more work for you to get back to God. We are all heading back to God.

To turn our backs on God and give in to sin will bring forth death.
For the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.
