I have motion sickness really bad, and I used to take dramimine. It would help a little but if I had to fly or ride for a very long time it didnt hepl so much. I went to my doctor who prescribed the patch. I'm not sure what the name is, but you put it on behind your ear hours before you get on a plane or ship if your going on a cruise. You leave it on for 3 days then remove it. It really does work. Make sure you read the directions though. If you take it off early, it can make you sick. Good luck, I know how bad this can be.

Stand still?

Or if you have no choice in that matter, look out on the horizon.
For aeroplanes, I've been advised by the air stewerdess that you are more likely to get motion sickness sitting at the back of the place as opposed to sitting over the wings.

The answer about watching the outside scene is right on. Motion sickness comes from your brain receiving confusing messages. Your body tells it that you're moving, but your eyes (if you're looking at the inside of the vehicle) tells it you're standing still. Looking outside gives your brain the same message from both and should solve the problem.

Where I live you have to cross a mountain to get anywhere and the only way I could ever get over being motion sick was to look out at the road like you are driving. Don't look at stuff passing by. Dramamine helps too.

Try taking dramamine before going on a trip. That should help. I think reading in a vehicle makes motion sickness worse so I wouldn't do that.

The best way to get over it is to get out there and get sick. Yak it all up. You will feel better. If you do this 3 or 4 times your body will adapt and you will not get sea sick anymore.

when running, you may be throwing your equilibrium out of whack. Try looking at and focusing on an object that is far away. This may stabilise the sense of feeling unbalanced.

Always look at the horizon, it helps a lot. If you are in a vehicle, sit in the front so you can look at the horzion without anything obstructing your view.
Good luck!
