i've learned a lot about this, but i'm by no means an expert. however, i believe that once we allow our emotions to surface, and we acknowledge them, i'm convinced that healing can begin. of course the healing process will be different for each person, and there's no certainty of how long it could take. but i wish more people could learn to stop stuffing their emotions and let themselves FEEL and to encourage others to feel as well.

Yes, when we hurt, we go through emotions, the process of healing is similar. If we allow ourselves to deal with issues that have caused us turmoil, we begin the healing journey. The opposite would be to bottle them all up and pretend they never happened. When we do that, we hurt forever. Confronting our emotions helps us to deal with them and let go.

We would find a much greater peace if would stop letting our emotions control us and we controlled them as God designed us in the first place, but we have allowed sin to turn our emotions against us and therefore we have a tendency to let our emotions control, instead of turning them over to God.

Yes, It seems people judge themselves harsher than anyone else could ever judge them. Allow yourself time and space to really evaluate your emotions and the cause behind them. This allows one to realize what kind of situations they place themselves in and how to avoid them. it also allows us to learn and grow.

Healing is a gift from God. That is given to us through our Faith. It has been paid for at Calvary. It has nothing to do with emotions. It's by your Faith in God.
