"" We get JWs at our front door constantly asking us to go to conventions and go to their churches...... ""
JWs as u say, never force any one for follow their religion.
""I'm a Wiccan meaning I practice majick and spells and whatnot,....""
Your practice does not originate from, nor are in agreement with the Christian's True Living God - full of mercy and compassion.
""If God loves his children so much why do we suffer the way we do?""
It happens when you stray away from the truth. blot out the Living God from your life, and follow something like 'Wiccan'. Its not the compassionate God that makes you suffer - its the 'Wiccan' stuff.

Your question about suffering is reasonable and valid. Open your mind and that very intelligent question can be answered in the right way.
Although they are imperfect people just like you and me, and they can be just as intrustive and as opinionated as the rest of the world, the preaching work is a command directly from Christ - they must love their neighbour (in more ways than just preaching of course) which is the greatest commandment after the commandment to love God. Jesus said they must keep doing what he did in imitation of him. The is what is apostles and deciples did, and this is a requirement of Christianity. It is often a very difficult thing to do - just as it was for the first century Chrisitans.
All imperfect 'individuals' can be intrusive and annoying.........but the preaching work is another matter and you really do have to take that matter up with the creator. Humble obedience to pass along what they have learned- that is what they are trying to do - obey.
I recieve various invitations from different groups to go to dinners, charity functions etc. I have never felt that an 'invitation' is being forced. I appreciate an invitation personally. I think you shoud just tell them that you feel pressured.
It probably never occured to you that you are asking a question to which they have an excellent answer - they of all people will give you an answer that would be very logical and satisfying - yet you hate them without knowing them.

You answer your own question...
...Jehovah's Witnesses go door-to-door because their neighbors have questions about such things as how a loving God could allow suffering.
Well, honestly it wouldn't matter if there were ANY interest from the public, since preaching is a direct command from Christ to the congregation:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Still, householders who have taken the time to speak with Jehovah's Witnesses are often pleasantly surprised to learn that the bible's answer to mankind's questions is often completely different from Christendom's unsatisfying philosophies.
For example, the suffering in this world is NOT training from God, it is NOT intended to make better angels, it is NOT a necessary balance to joy, and it does NOT imply that God is weak or uncaring. The article at the link helps give, NOT Christendom's view, but the bible's:

***Added
Anyone who sincerely wishes to be left alone need only display a "No Tresspass" sign or ask Jehovah's Witnesses to add their address to the Witnesses' "Do Not Call" list.

ugh... I think the Taoists had it right when they really abandoned theology and just said "there is a spirit to the universe, and we are a part of that spirit. Be at peace." You don't need to define what it all is because you can't... the universe is our fundamental frame of reference and we have no ability to understand what caused it or preceded it; not a prophet, and not a scientist either. Clearly there is no God who is out there preventing human suffering and making people's dreams come true and all that jazz. Clearly. And I don't think there's anything in the Bible to suggest that, though there are a lot of wacky, vague, and disjoined non-sequiters in there, so I'm sure someone could provide a quote that would suggest virtually anything they wanted it to. But even Abraham was tested, so I don't think God is portrayed as someone who makes 100% pretty happy world, because there is obviously no such thing.
Why do people try to press their beliefs on others? Perhaps it's a sort of external verification, like if the stuff I believe is true then I should be able to convince others of it. Perhaps it's a sincere belief that they are messengers and their mission is to spread whatever horse dung they might be spreading. It goes beyond people arguing over which band is cooler... it's an attempt to spread the Word of God. It's an act of charity, in their eyes.
But yeah, I know a lot of Christians who know better than to push their opinions off. And who know better than to believe that God is there to make sure no harm comes of his children. They understand that their God created a world in which s*** happens, and they have faith that these things are here to test our wills and allow us to grow as spirits, and they hold to their faith in the face of any personal or global tragedy. People who lose their faith because some terrible thing happened never had faith to begin with.
And as a post-note, when people say individuals suffer because they live outside God's will, that's an insult to every good person out there who's had bad things happen to them. They've just called every 9/11 widow and every hurricane victim and everyone who's lost a loved one a heathen, and I think that's foul and it makes true believers of their Faith look bad because it forwards a concept that holds no validity. "Suffering" can happen to anyone. Does it happen to the leud and liscidious more often? Sure! Not because they disgrace God but because they disgrace themselves. But "following God's path" doesn't spare someone completely from suffering, unless you want to be a bit more clear and say "even in the face of disaster and pain, the true Christian does not suffer." I could go along with that maybe... But when that's not spelled out, and you get on some Pat Robertson junk and say "oh look! he suffered a stroke! God must be punishing him!" people think there must be no God the first time some bad stuff happens, and it's just so annoying and irrational I can't stand it! It really is a vile way of thinking, folks.

God does love you. God allows you to have a choice. Adam and Eve had the choice of taking the apple of the tree of knowledge. God allows us to go through trials, the book of Job tells us that. Seek God, do some research, I am sure your magic and spells do not give you any comfort or a personal relationship. I wish you the best, I know you have doubts but raise some questions, look at the historical attributes. Try a book called In Search of Certainty Josh McDowell. www.josh.org. Good luck.

well like many of the others have answered they are trying to love their neighbours by offering what they believe is salvation but i have the same woman every time and i know that the woman next door asked them not to come back and they haven't but on the other hand the woman that comes to my house knows where i stand and she doesn't pressure me we have our little talks and compare religions and talk of other things as well i am not a religious person per-say but i know alot about many religions so we chat about that kinda stuff i do not find any of them very pushy if you make it know to them where you stand and that you are not about to change. in the long run they are still just people and you can talk to the that way. No means No to them as well. As for the suffering last time i checked most of my suffering was caused by my poor CHOICES

Look I heard this comedian saying that if you don't want the JW's to visit you, go ahead and get a bunch of headstones, and throw out a mess of pamphlets. Maybe it will help. By the way, God doesn't make us suffer, we have to do for ourselves and avoid the temptation of sins. Hey I believe Wicca works too. You can do both you know??

:) you are so cute and full of magic..
first - we are not CHILDREN of God, if you make a robot, does he or she ot it, be your SON !!! he is the creator, the soul giver, and he is not our father, God is the creator who is watching over you, protects you , gave you everything you have now, and he would take everything without asking you.
He exist and real, wether you believe in him or not.
and you are right , beleiving in God, or religions can not be by force, this is stupid.
It's your choice, but it's also illogical to be floating like this, lost, and do not believe in anything.
One went to a barber wanted a hair cut, the barber started to chat and talk to this man, saying, .. there is NO God, if there is God why people are dying and suffering like this. the man did not reply, get a hair cut paid the barber and went out.. on his way, he saw a filthy man, with very dirty long hair and beard walking in the street looking so bad, the dude went back to the barber shop, opened the door, and immediatly said, there are no barbers, if there are barbers why this man and others are having long and dirty messed up hair? the man said, ( i am here , but they don't come to me) the man replied ( SO is GOD)

Whenever I get JWs at my door I preach athiesm to them and try to challenge their beliefs by pointing out all the inconsisencies in the Bible. For example, if you accept the Bible then you must accept that the earth is flat. There are numerous references in the Bible to the earth being flat. If you do not accept that the earth is flat then you must accept the bible is not true. If the bible is not true then where is the foundation of your beliefs.
You'll soon find yourself blacklisted by the JWs and they won't bother you again. Plus, you will have had fun screwing with the brains.

I'm sorry that you have had such a bad experience. There are true Christians; that don't force their beliefs on anyone, and yet at the same time, they are preaching the Gospel by how they live their lives. I'm not bragging at all; because I'm not perfect, but, I wish I had the chance to share my faith, and my revelation with you,if you ever wanted me to. It's entirely up to you. I will never mention it to you again. Unless, you want me to.
