Because God is a man-made creation and man lives on earth. In those days people had no idea about the rest of the universe. Gods were created out of ignorance.

Some gullible, insecure people still believe in one.

I have never heard of a religion saying God was only for earth. I guess they just say earth is the only life forms. I believe that if there are ET's out there, they have their own beliefs, and don't necessarily believe in our god, but hey they might!!

it's not religions that insist on a God for earth only it's God. You crazy people messed up my world why would I want you out in my quiet space. Is what he's trying to say. And while you are listening get out of your crazy religions and take a quiet walk in the wilderness alone and with me once in a while.

There is no direct examples of any life form else where. The earth is like Gods body, or God's footstool. Man is constantly corrupting the earth.

God created a complete universe and wasted an enormous amount of matter so that the scenery at night would look nice. Since he doesn't want us to enjoy it too much, he also created clouds.

I have never heard that the Bible teaches there is only one planet with people on it. It does teach only one earth which would most likely be right. Why have a hundred or so planets named earth?

Religions do insist that there is only one god and only life on this planet. I am sure that if there is life on other planets which is scientifically more likely than not I am sure that they have their version of god to.
