If you believe the story that the church crams down your throat, then yea. But I believe that there were other humans here, like Neanderthals, who Adam and Eves sons bred with. I don't really believe in the literal translation of Genesis, I think of it more figuratively, so in that case Adam and Eve are only characters in a metaphorical story about creation.

Well yes, this is a question that is oft' asked by those seeking confirmation of their doubts. But I'm here to tell you that Adam and Eve did indeed propegate the planet. You see, to answer this question and assure rightfully that the explaination is well taken and understood, I have to tell you that the lifespan in the early days was much longer than it is now. Adam and Eve were able to bare children for many many years and did so. It isn't clear how many children they had, but it was certainly 50+. Now then, about the incest...Yes. clearly, there was some brother/sister action taking place. Why then are we not all deformed having come from parents of parents...of incest? The gene pool. 4000 years ago (approx. Adam's time period), there was much less contamination in the gene pool. Diseases and deformities hadn't worked their way into herredity.

But, I want to qualify this answer saying that faith is the only way I know this all to be true. and without faith, I'm afraid you cannot understand the mind of God.

first they had alot more than merely two sons and one daughter,

but two thoughts, first since they were orginal, without human defects as we know them now from the result of generations of sinning, there would have been no medical issues and no harm for brothers and sisters getting married.

But the more realistic idea is that God either after or along with Adam and Eve created an entire population, thus the term in the bible male and female we created them. Since the bible is the history of the Hewbrew nation though Jesus and all of his history, Thus we have the history as written though Moses and Noah and those who were the generations of Adam and Eve.

Adam was 130 years old when Seth of the genealogy of Jesus was born and Cain had just slain Abel, how many children could they have had in 130 years and them be same as strangers to each other. From age 130 to 930, how many children. Only one brother and sister were needed to pair and then in 20 years it is cousins ect.

Being from Adam although he had sinned first, they were still close to perfection.

Adam age 930[had many children], he died, others 912, 905, 895, 962, 969, and Noah 950 as age declined, he lived 350 years after the flood, and his son Shem lived to be age 600, was born 1558, the flood was 1656. He died 2158 and 25 years later Abraham age 175 died in 2183 after Adam.

Moses was age 80, Exo.7:7; 12:40,41; 430 years after Abraham was age 75 in 2083 after Adam, and the incest law began to be after 2513, in about 2515 after Adam. So there was no incest until a law was established to prevent children with defects.

the tale of Adam and Eve is basically that; a tale. in case you study somewhat further is Genesis, their sons marry females from interior of reach. First, the tale of Adam and Eve is meant to describe that folk displeased God in some way and that's the clarification that human beings have the demanding circumstances that we've. 2d, it is sinful for siblings to have sexual intercourse. it particularly is sparkling interior the actual abnormalities that may take place to an toddler born from an incestuous relationship.

The garden of eden myth is based on an Anunnaki, people in the region mining gold. In the original version, Eve was a male and the "serpent" was trying to help humans escape this "god". There were already humans around before this time. Some writers down the road altered it to fit their own selfish needs and walla - we have the bible.

Yes well some of Adam and Eves Sons married some of Adam and Eves Daughters but it was alowed at that time because they were a lot closer to perfection then and did not end up with Genetic problems because of that.

Since women were not considered worth mentioning most of the time back then we do not know just how many daughters they had but incest would not have had the same effect then as now, I am told. The genetics were more pure with the first couple and therefore not as likely to mutate as they would be today.

You are absolutely correct!
According to the religions, they were the first and only, while in Talmud and Old Testament, when Cain killed Abel, he fled to the land of other people, etc.!!!
Which means that Adam and Eve were not the first and only people! What is the symbolism behind it?
